how many frugal activities can you complete in one day?
I have been thinking for a while that many of the things I do everyday are such a part of my routine, that I don't stop to consider whether they are frugal.
I've decided that I'll see how many things I can do each day that I consider frugal. I'm hoping this will inspire me to seek new frugal ways!
Anyone up for this challenge??
Today:
~I painted my bathroom: frugal b/c I did it myself w/leftover paint
~I shopped GW and SA: bought 5 toothbrushes (new/in package!) @ $.75 ea, 3 rolls all-purpose wrapping [email protected]$.50 ea, and bought DH a designer label dress shirt for $3.50
~I drove w/ windows down instead of using a/c
~I'm using ceiling fans in house
~I was Sooooo tempted to treat myself with a fastfood lunch...I resisted, and am having leftovers!
~I'm going to work on my online Spec Ed course: frugal b/c by taking it online, I'm saving gas and babysitter money-plus, my tuition is paid 1/3 by my school and 2/3 by the state!!!!
And the day's only 1/2 over!!!
Good luck, and report back!!!!!!

Ok -- for today:
- showered in the dim AM light at 5:00, rather than turn on a light
- washed clothes in cold water, hung on the line to dry
-packed lunch from leftovers and sale purchased sodas, to take to work
- AC off all day, until I returned home at 9:00 this evening, now running fans and just enough AC to take out the humidity, then off again
-solar lights on the porch for me and dd to see to come home
- dinner at home, cooked on the grill (faster and cheaper)
