Frugal Challenge 10/05 to 10/11/08
I did not see this post started for the week so here goes! I really, really need this one
*received 2 large bags baby boy clothing from a freecycle post. Wonderful stuff and such as blessing as there are 3 babies due in the family soon
*DH and I went on planned trip to Lake Erie to bike ride. Took coffee and lunch so only spending was for gas. Great fun and still somewhat affordable
*Leftovers from picnic lunch for today's lunch
*washing in cold and will plan a load to dry tomorrow morning on the line
*turned off heat for the day. Will turn on tonight if really needed
*Working on plan for the month to limit shopping, spending and unnecessary running around.
*recycled coffee grounds for a second pot
*Reading what I own already and/or library books
*did not order a magazine offer that I received...was tempted but did not
*Hope to work on organization of my office and use power strips to save on electricity costs there

I got gas, then went and bought my dog foos but got 1.50 off by using my gas reciept for %5 groceries when you get $35 or more gas.
It wasn't much but heck it all counts right?
Located an eyeglass store that will just redo dds lenes and let her keep her frames she loves that are titanium because of her metal allergies. Will still be spendy but sometimes you have to pay a little more for happiness.

I painted the carport door on the kistchen side. One less thing to do to get the house ready for sale although in this economy I am hoping to hold dh off not one but 2-3 years.
Hey, it could happen!
In the mean time I can get the house the way I WANT it and if I must sell then okay but if we stay awhile--OKAY!
Started a one year food stockpile list....yowsa!

I'm kind of busy now but I had to come on and post about yesterday.
I went to pick up my son's winter jacket (that I got for free) at the tailors, who was replacing the zipper for $5. Goodwill is in the same plaza so I took a walk through. Picked up a pair of snow boots for my son for $2 and a pair of snowpants for him for $4.99 He is totally set for the winter and it only cost me $12. I am SOOOOOO excited about this!
