I was typing this post yesterday afternoon and as soon as I went to post internet died. dh got it going after 10.. kids esp son was twitchy lol at least dd still crafts and reads. I said clean your room and he had taekwondo plus sent him to store for milk, bread and garbage bags. one thing off my list ! the forum said want to post auto save so went sure! the cable company was trying to pull a fast one w dh but since his job is computers doesn't work but took hours. chilly this morning and dry only 36% humidity. not used to that here.

lol ch teens aren't as bad as little kids they can go everywhere on their own at least. just monitoring .. when it was guides, scouts, swimming, skating playdates... then go go go. I throw the stale crackers out for the crows and raccoons.
Maybe vaseline on the end of his nose or oily tuna would work for pooping. what we do w cats w poop or hairballs. blob of vaseline on the nose so they lick it off. rujerro isn't that the way complaining takes longer then the job. what job wants your grades ... even rich schools it is all about connections.

Happy Early Thanksgiving everyone! I know everyone is busy w that but had ours last month so just enjoying the black friday deals. placed an avon order got two clearance dresses $25 total. plus some xmas gifts. did lots of online shopping this year so as long as it is all delivered all good. packed away the halloween candy in a tub in the cold closet storage. will keep until next year all that type of candy. and teens can't see it. out of my closet. got more at the craft fair on sunday. made a bunch of crocheted scrunchies so packed 2 xmas gifts 4 in each for moms group. bringing science kits etc for someone who homeschools at moms group too.

friend is missing it as she fell mon afternoon and dislocated her hip. all set and just need to see pt at hospital to make sure she can walk. and of course missing the xmas party too.

she just texted going home so will visit later. leftovers from last night for dinner that didn't get eaten. need to go to library too.

GB, hope you feel better soon. Just enjoy today for what there is. We have a little bit of sun here, but it is cold and very windy. DH is in the mood to clean, so I will let him. He wants to do kitchen, bed sheets, vacuum, etc. My knees have been giving me grief the last 2-3 days, hard to stand up and sit down, so once I get someplace I stay there.

DH opted for cherry pie and I have bags of sour pie cherries that I picked this summer, so now I just need to figure out how to make one. Bought a pack of pie shells. Will find a recipe online for the filling. Have to do that and make cranberry fruit salad tonight, and get turkey breast out to thaw. DH will do the bird tomorrow and I will do the sides.

    Cherry pie sounds good!

Martha - teens with out internet? Yikes! Glad you got it sorted out.

Both dh and I have had dentist appointments this week. For dh, deep cleaning and two small cavities filled and for me a cleaning and dental check.....$450 between us. I don't know how many people afford dental care. Had to take the SUV to dealer today for a recall, they checked it and it didn't have the problem so didn't have to wait long. Stopped at Michaels for candles, since it just opened there was hardly anyone there so that was nice, in and out. Picked up a graham cracker crust at Dollar Tree to make a cheesecake for Christmas and stopped at Meijer to pick up a few items that I still needed for my dish for Thanksgiving. It's been rainy on and off, even had a thunderstorm roll through and very windy today. The wind at least will help dry up the puddles in the yard. Making a new cabbage casserole dish for dinner tonight, will add a veggie and have salad already made. Started the new John Grisham book today, I like it already.

Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving!

Today was the luncheon for the homeless....we had quite a few show up. Expected more and director even went our driving around to see if she could find the "regulars" that usually show up but she said they were gone....not sure why...it wasn't that cold and it wasn't raining or anything....we had a ton of food.....I got the turkey breasts defrosted by putting in cold water....did them in the crock pot overnite and they turned out great....I helped a young mom out by having her bake me a dozen and half cupcakes and the frosting kinda melted but they still ate them....I am exhausted.....I keep forgetting I'm in my 70's and not as young as I want to be...21 years ago I had just gone thru six months of chemo and 37 treatments of radiation which ended in beginning of November and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for 150 people by myself and did all the tables and helped with the cleanup.....now, I'm retired and I'm exhausted just doing the tables and getting food on the tables....
Leaving in the morning for the casino and will be spending the night.....
Hope everyone has a peaceful Thanksgiving....

GB- Sorry about your mom. I hope things get better for you.

I ordered a centerpiece from " from you flowers" and paid extra for same day delivery. Well, the day and night wore on and nothing. I sent an email and asked about the flowers and they said that were delivered! Uh, no. So, I called them and they offered me a 20% refund and $10 off my next order, along with flower delivery tomorrow. I wanted a refund and hope to get one. I should've read the reviews before ordering as they told of this.

The appraiser came. I hope it went well. We should get the report next week.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone!

Going to a friend's for dinner but she tells me we are going to the Chinese buffet!! Fine with me. I unwittingly scheduled my Shingrix shot tomorrow, forgetting it is Black Friday. Pharmacy is at the end of the shopping strip. Hope the traffic is not too bad. Not a huge shopping area here, WM, KM, Kohls, JCP. Pharmacy is in a grocery store. I hate going to that area at any time.

Got my new Fitbit in the mail yesterday, Xmas present to myself. $20 off the cheapest model at Best Buy. Paid $3 sales tax that I could have avoided by picking up at store, but store is also at the far end of the shopping strip. That's how much I hate driving through that area.

Happy Thanksgiving. The "extra" guest canceled after I had set the table for 8, figures. I am leaving as is. I just need to clean bathrooms and kitchen. I mopped the wood floor w/ a sponge mop and it left spots everywhere when dried. Obviously I need a new type mop.
Very windy here, I saw a few trees down this morning while walking the dog. The upper end of one grazed the back of a townhouse. I doubt there was damage but scary.
Finished a novel by British author Jeffrey Archer - The Clifton Chronicles book 3 from the little free library. Absolutely riveting. I reserved book 1 from the library.

Rain is coming, looks like we already had some drizzle. Temp is hovering at 33F, hope it does not ice. I got to sleep in late. DH was up early and put the turkey breasts in the fridge, it will be hours yet before they go in the oven.

Going to look at online sales and maybe do a little shopping in my pjs.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I made a new dish to take to my moms, I was frustrated making it and didn't think it came out well but everyone said it was good. I didn't even try it. Thanksgiving went well at my moms, it's always a lot of people, loud, fun and of course a little drama thrown in. Over all a nice day. I am thinking of putting up the Christmas tree either today or tomorrow, I'll have to see how the day goes.

We had a nice Thanksgiving also, a lot of food left over (result of letting hubby be in charge of the food.) I think there will be a turkey "shepherd's pie" with turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes and mixed vegs in a few days.
I used the $10 Kohls coupon on a large bath mat, ended up paying under $3. At this point I have a set of towels & bath mat total under $5 cash using their coupons. A goal for next year is to remove the wallpaper and paint that bathroom.
I also bought beads and a skein of yarn (dusty pink) at JoAnn. I am almost finished knitting a hat for the woman in chemo and thought the new color was soft & pretty for second one.

turkey pot pie sounds good. my dd is 17th today! time flies! going off to the arcade soon for her party can come back here for cake. spent $$$ michaels blk friday deals..some xmas stuff like gingerbread house and xmas gifts plus yarn cus..on sale lol there was a day cruise deal w local place on paddlewheeler includes turkey meal. so we booked that. one day only thing. so money out! but new family traditions. something to do once in a while not every year. mix with free things. chilly here! no snow though the mountains did open for skiing today too. one of dds gifts came in the mail today harry potter pencil crayons so that worked out.

so apparently now that mil passed sil thinks we are all family..when we weren't before... actually just left a harried message for dd for her bday for the first time for years. always did for ds but stopped w dd when she was 13 because she was jealous yes a 60 yr old woman is jealous of her 17yr old only niece. trust me my kids know that it isn't them. dd made a cake yesterday they like doing that now. cat has been sleeping on her gift bag I packed a while ago so she gets some hair with it too lol can't leave things on the floor w miss piss pants. closet is full of xmas gifts. she is the one sleeping on it too lol

we may go back to michaels to look at fake trees on sale tomorrow. got free tixs to frozen 2 from friend so early show plus kids cousin is sleeping over so she is coming. ds has a belt test too. sunday is dentist appts and dh to free library event. new dentist office phd while I was out because they were checking insurance and ours was a pain. got it sorted but really the co could have been better. so I bought them some chocolates to say thank you for the trouble.

Did a little shopping today. Got most of the Thanksgiving decorations down. Still have some to move from the porch and put away. Going to do that tomorrow and clean house. If the weather turns nice, then we will work on decorating the outside first.
