Cold this morning but warming up, sunny and mid 40's this afternoon. Supposed to be a nice weekend. Maple trees are blooming bright pink!

M, hope you get your house spotless!

Dlr, fresh bread and cookies sound delicious. We are going to a friend's house Saturday, I need to figure out what I'll be taking. I'm told there will be fried chicken.

GB, have a good time at the gym and I hope your legs aren't too sore after all that.

I am sick of packing boxes but there is more to be done. Don't know what we're going to do with the stuff that cannot go into the storage trailer (it's freezing out there). Stack it in the middle of the living room, I guess. Still have 2-3 sacks of pantry goods to find room for in the kitchen.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

Got cold last night but 53 today with sun shining.
Mail person didn't take my two cards I had in the box so going to have to go out and mail....hopefully they get to PA by Saturday. I have no faith in the USPS....sent a package from Spring, TX to Rosenberg, TX which is about 30 miles away....the box went to Portland, OR first!!! Post office had no answer why it did that.....but have to say they called me twice about it (I sent them complaint). Finally got to where it was going....
Don't know what we will have for dinner....got another 8 meals today (4 days worth) and I think that is it for my $3 sale....will cancel now....
Having lunch with friends tomorrow and then will go to Kroger and get my weekend deals, butter, sausage, and chips for the grandkids.
Ordered my Humira yesterday....the guy actually was nice and I could understand him........he had a stroke at the co-pay and gave me a number to call to see if they would help....I will call but the last time I called they wouldn't help me because I was on medicare....will see....it was about two thousand less then what I thought it would be....still three thousand dollars but not five....got to find the good in every situation.
Got the tablecloths washed and folded from luncheon yesterday....now to find a place to keep them and remember where they are...
Got all the decorations seperated and into baggies....another tote filled....I really need a shed.....
Husband said he ran into the trail riders today.....I haven't seen them in years....I try to stay home when they are coming in....Rodeo starts this weekend....
    Stay warm everyone....

Got another pair of pj pants made today. Rode the bike for 30 minutes at the gym. Had leftover turkey and made a salad for dinner.

Jett- Glad your DH is doing well and you are a great supporter!

Peg- You're very generous to decorate for the lunch and help out! We do volunteer a bit and the bad weather brings them in to et. We would get 200 people on a snow day!

CH- I have purchased respirator masks, cleaning alcohol/peroxide for the virus. I'll pick up a few more things. The good news is that there is a cure that was discovered by a Harvard epidemiologist in 2004 and it's being used in China. Full recoveries have happened so far. DH says I keep colds and illnesses longer than anyone, possibly due to my chronic disease, but it happens. I catch things very fast and keep them. ugh.

I'll go to Target today. Get mayo and some things with a GC. Maybe Ace too.

I saw a portable car battery charger that hooks up easily and doesn't need another car to fuss with the clamps and all. I'll get one for DS1 and his car for Christmas. A co-worker alerted me to it and said every lady should have one as he's used his 3 times so far and it's easy.

I'm not sure how anyone can have a cure for a virus that didn't exist until quite recently (December) but I would believe they are trying anything they've got right now. I know many companies and govt labs have started work on a vaccine, but it will be at least a year before manufacturing for general public use happens. We have no confirmed cases in this area, though a handful of travelers and students have been tested. So it is life as normal here right now. My freezer and pantry are full and we can isolate if it comes to that.

It's going to be a lovely spring-like day here. Need to get some fresh vegetables and dairy. Taking a veggie tray to a get-together tomorrow. Would love to relax and do some sewing, but I have more boxes to pack.

Been thinking about the garden. It's warming up now, time to get the garden bed cleaned up and decide what to plant. I would love to get some lettuce, radishes, and herbs going this month. Anyone else?

    My first crocus is up!

Cleaning under the sink today. We had to get a new kitchen faucet. The old one broke and barely shuts off. Constant dripping water. Time to organize that mess anyway. Dh wants to add a "wall" to the side shelves so that things don't fall off the shelf to under the sink. I'm sure we have enough wood in the garage to do that. Dh has been on an organizing kick lately. He loves the front closet now. It's not crammed full of coats no one wears anymore. Nice and neat.

Going to run to the store for a few sale items and get more carrots. I have a bowl of vegetables cut up for munching and we're almost out of carrots. Dgd loves carrots and before she can have junk food (candy) she'll ask for carrots or apples.

Dh didn't eat the fish yet, so he'll be having fish tonight. Not sure what dgd and I will have. She loves Chipotle. Maybe I'll get her some. I always get the chicken (she doesn't like it) and cheese on the side and then some flour tortillas and I have 3 chicken tacos for the same price. I'll see what she feels like tonight. Sometimes she just wants pizza rolls. I stocked up on those when they were on sale last week.

Should be a nice weekend. We may try to get outside and do a little work in the yard. It's a mess from the dogs digging for moles. I used to have nice grass in the back. Between the moles and the dogs and grubs, it's gone. So many holes. We'll need to get dirt to fill them all. I think we'll take dirt from the raised garden first, fix the garden and get new dirt for the garden. So much to do.

Friend has come and gone, the french toast casserole was good and will take leftovers to my brother tomorrow, sort of like bread pudding.....House is nice and clean/er as well, dusted many places usually overlooked and wash some spots on the walls where needed.
I'm going to start impatiens and coleus from seeds. Big yard clean-up starts next week since I volunteered to host the dog club picnic in June here. Want to get yard looking really nice as cheaply as possible. I will buy a load of wood chips for the back wooded area, last time I did this was 5 years ago, so needed again.
Decided the dog needs a bath Sunday or Monday, he is getting his teeth cleaned on Wednesday so might as well have clean fur before that.
    Everyone have a good weekend.

Had lunch with my friend....was just 3 1/2 hours today as she had to run to Walmart...she returned all the stuff she borrowed for her parents big anniversary party back in January. I gave her the roaster and two of the huge pizza stones...husband will be happy...

rujerro - wow....200 people.....we are not equipped to serve that many...we only have a small area to eat in.....we usually plan for 30. We have a hard time getting people to cook for 30 and I can't imagine for 200....at church if we were having a lunch after service numbers were always up....

jettsmom that's great that your gd loves carrots.....my kids loved frozen spinach....I remember going to freezer looking for it for dinner and it was gone....my kids had it for a snack....I said nothing......I just made sure I purchased extra on grocery day.....

dlrcpa the casserole sounds good....I think I have made something like that before....It's really good....I love breakfast food...wish my house was clean....maybe I need to plan a lunch...LOL

GB do you like being alone for a couple of days? I would love it....my husband works but he is home a lot....he is usually home by 1 and then in his office here at home till five or six BUT he is still here....I really love it when he is late and gets home at five which doesn't happen very often...I am not a 24/7 gal.....one of the reasons why he still works....he has no hobbies and he would be bored and in my hair constantly....

Warm and sunny today....crazy weather.....have nothing planned for this weekend....stay warm and healthy everyone....

$73 for groceries today, holy cow! When did vegetables get to be so expensive? I got broccoli, cucumber, cabbage, brussels sprouts, radishes, asparagus, bell pepper, and salad mix, all on sale. Bag of shrimp on a good sale, dairy on sale, marked down eggs, cat food marked down, laundry soap on sale. 6 bags of frozen veg @ .69 ea. Canned tuna .59. Only milk and bread were regular price.

DH was late getting home today, mandatory team building thing at work. He had good news though, he heard through the grapevine that they might be getting partial bonuses this year after all. We'll have to see how all this stock market mess plays out. I hope there are no lay-offs this time. He is not likely to get cut, but would have to do extra unpaid hours if his department loses people.

Jettsmom, those chipotle burritos are enormous! You could feed 3 people off one of those.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Weather is supposed to be good here, too.

Got nervous about having food on hand with potential virus problems. Spent $50 (that's a lot for me) - got staples, soups, cereal, etc. Puts my mind at ease if nothing else. I have a small kitchen and don't usually keep a lot of stuff on hand.

Also went to Kmart (I am boycotting Walmart) and spent $20. We have a strange Kmart, at least once a month, people ask on the local FB page if it is closing. Hardly anyone there, wide empty aisles,(and the store is huge), some areas very short on goods (shelves not filled, just one of each item at the front of the shelf). Yet they had a ton of Easter stuff, swimming pools etc., so not closing soon I would say. They also have about 16 checkout stands, when I got there only one was staffed. Yet the cashier got on the phone and within a minute 2 more were open.

Contraryhousewife— I’m cleaning beds and going to get my garden going in the next couple of weeks. My fingers start itching to get in the dirt this time of year.

Bookwormpeg—I think we may be married to the same man. My husband gets home at 1 and doesn’t have hobbies either. I dread the day he retires. I love my alone time.

Today I’m cleaning house and doing laundry. Got to go to Bath and Body works and get my free bath gel and then to the casino to get my free popcorn popper. Going to open windows after I get home.

Open windows - wow. In the 'teens here w/ wind chill although sunny. Going to warm up by Mon/Tues. Gave dad a haircut, probably wash floors here and hand sew the quilt binding. I have another long list of chores for next week. I'll probably stock up on dog food at least.

I just went on an auction site and there is a huge auction going on.....a case of 10 boxes, 20 per box, of facial masks went for $750.00!!!! I can't imagine....I have one package I got 22 years ago when I was going thru cancer and never used them....they are still in closet....I probably paid less then $10......

We had a HUGE water leak in the city.....hopefully they got it fixed.....caused major problems in the city yesterday with school and colleges closing and lots of restaurants had to close....major freeways were closed and lots of flooding....had to boil water....and of course it's the start of rodeo....which we do not go to....I would love to see Willie Nelson but not worth it with all the people, the drunks, crazies, germs....not going happen....they are asking if you don't feel well to stay home but you know darn well if you paid big bucks to see a star perform, you're going...... sick or not.....with no immune system, I can't chance it.....and I'm at the age where I don't like crowds....I use to love to go to concerts and be right in the thick of things but not anymore....I think I'm just smarter now....at least in some things....

Josantoro I didn't know Kmart was still around....last time I was at a Kmart was in a town about 100 miles from me and it was closing and I got knitted gloves for my shoeboxes....10 cents a pair....I got them all.....I don't like Walmart at all....when I retired 9 years ago we had the house painted inside and all new carpet put in....we put all the furniture in two PODS in the driveway...I had to leave everyday as there was nothing in house so I would go to our BRAND NEW Walmart just around the corner and sit in the parking lot and read....wouldn't even walk in....lol...I go about once or twice a year, if that....

GB you sure get some great stuff from the casino....I need to start going and sign up.....I had a friend who was the luckest person I've ever known....she could walk into the casino and put a quarter in and get back a couple hundred....she never lost money!!!

Dircpa I have a list of things I need to do and it's dated a few months back...still haven't gotten to them...I wish I had energy and the get up and go I use to have....just the simple things makes me tired...
Going run to Krogers and get my weekend sale items...maybe run to DT and DG....will see....DG is 50% off sale items....I need some clothes for my shoeboxes..

Hope everyone has a great weekend.....stay warm and healthy....

Our Kmart closed years ago. I went once or twice and they did not have what I was looking for either time so I never went back. Shelves were mostly empty. Wasn't a surprise when they closed. Not sure if there are other locations around here.

Lovely weather here, was 65 today. Spent it with friends, food, drinks, etc. Yardwork tomorrow, I want to hit the weeds early this year. Got a brand new leather jacket for free today. Friend of a friend closing his business and just giving away stuff. It's heavy and has a lining. Now I'm hoping for a few more cold days so I can wear it.

Got a good deal on pork roast this morning, on sale and with $2 off sticker on the package. Will be good for BBQ in a few weeks. Meanwhile, leftover party vegs and crackers for dinner.
