GB- Let us know how your trip went. Be safe out there.
    SD- owl light sounds cute.
    CH- Hope you're feeling better.
Peg- Good idea to get to a hotel. Our power went out (years ago) as I put more blankets on kids and window shattered from it. I added more blankets to my bed that night too. Took almost a week to fix.

Taking box to food bank. Paid for DS2 class but school hasn't emailed about if classes will be online...Website says until further notice. All colleges here are online for the Summer except this one is unsure. He will have to call if they don't email about it.

GB I am surprised you have vegs already, nice.
We are finally into shorts weather (I think). Humid but hoping rain has stopped. Pulled some leftover lasagne from the freezer for supper, or veg soup that is already defrosted. I did not get baking done yesterday, so pumpkin bread in the machine now and loaf of plain bread later. End of the month already and I managed not to spend a lot. Supposed to get decks power-washed & stained but need a spell of dry weather. That's the next big expense coming up. Have a good weekend.

My plans for today are baking a batch of cookies and cutting the back lawn. I don't know if the lawn cutting will happen because it's supposed to start raining late morning. That is the earliest I can start due to the dew. Living by farm fields we have a lot of dew. Dh called this morning venting, he is the only one at his work who wears a mask and the rest of the men give him flack about it. Dh works in the hotspot here in our state, this isn't a county where there is hardly any cases of the virus. Sigh. At least it's Friday and he won't have to listen to it for a couple of days.

Hello Sunshine!!! So good to see you. We had so much rain yesterday. They said 8.5 inches. I believe it. I haven't seen it flood like this since '93. One of the main roads near me had to be closed because the river had come out of it's banks and was covering it. The road to ds' house is closed. I'll have to go way out and around to get there. Luckily there are several ways to go. The horse farm at the end of the street was completely under water. There was a "river" running through the property. Behind her, the city bought out all the homes because of constant flooding. There is a small creek that runs on one side of it.

Really glad it's nice today. Not sure what I'll do today. Don't really need to go shopping. If I do, it would be to add to the stockpile. I do need to go to the library to pick up my holds. They are all in now, so I can make one trip. I do need to see how to pay a fine. I missed a due date months ago. I can't get the online payment to work.

I love shopping at Menards. Glad you got some good deals. I won't go there right now because they require a mask and no one under 16. None of the other stores require it. I just can't wear a mask. I feel like I can't breathe. I had to wear one for a little bit at the dentist yesterday. My dgd loves that store too and she can't go.

I should make some banana bread. Dgd asked about making bread and dh said the bananas are too old for him to eat.

I'm thinking dinner may be chicken nuggets and mac & cheese.

Rabbit, sorry. I hope your hubby stays well. Starting today Virginia has made face coverings mandatory at most indoor public settings. Hubby has done all the shopping for over 2 months. He is thrilled to be getting a haircut today. I volunteered to do but he said no, not surprised.

The weather is much nicer today but will likely get warmer and more humid. Hoping to get into the garden and plant a few things. Have to make yet another run to the pharmacy because Dr's office can't/won't transfer prescriptions to mail order. I have been out of some pills for a week now. I know covid is causing some issues, but this is a simple routine phone call/email on their part. Feeling better today, but still cranky when I don't get all my meds.

Starting Monday businesses will be allowed to operate at 25% of customer capacity, and some entertainment venues are opening. Distancing and face coverings recommended, but not required by law (despite some signage I have seen). I'm avoiding the big box stores and the bigger groceries. If there's a line or a sign saying 'masks required' then there are too many people around. We still have most everything we need in the house, and can order online if necessary.

Getting chicken out for dinner, probably a garden salad to go with that.

Hope everyone has a nice, productive day.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

hope everyone is ok! yes things are slowly opening up here too. more next week. masks it depends. I don't like wearing them either because of allergies and sinuses swell up so hard to breathe. was going to stay home but since the cat got me up early and seems all have spring fever..no one has bugged me for treats and gone in and out of the house a few times. well that did it hanging off the screen door now. think I will do flea treatment soon too. have some in the cabinet.

hot and muggy here overcast cus rain coming. there is almost flooding in the interior but that happens a lot when snowpacks melt. we have had less rain then normal and not much flat land here. my garden is full of spring flowers and lush w buttercups etc. weeds always grow faster then other stuff. have to water and still finish doing seeds etc.

ds is still grounded but the worse is to come no computer for the weekend .only now to do schoolwork until dinnertime. dh and him don't get it. but moms do. said for every man saying he wasn't that bad as a teen there is a mom rolling her eyes..told dh your mom is rolling her eyes real hard from heaven. or as she said last spring..where do you think ds gets it from his dad lol. dh wasn't happy with that as she rolled her eyes behind him lol . and she wasn't one to mess with. all normal stuff.. just I am too old for it.

worked yesterday since had to take mom to er wed ..uti and then we shopped etc. so worked in store yesterday plus two library pickups so got some buns for national hamburger day yesterday but we didn't do it maybe tonight. was going to stay home but decided a surplus store and a walk w a friend for now we see each other every week. ihop is open so we went w another friend tues. not busy ..they have everything in takeout containers..little syrups pepper salt and throw it all out from the table after if not used.

Rabbit sounds like you married a smart man! He understands the dangers and is wearing a mask to keep himself and others safe....he is probably the smartest man there!!!! And he's yours!!!!

Jettsmom isn't it amazing how rain can accumulate in such a short time.....scares me....I still have nightmares about Harvey...I just don't understand how the entire city could be underwater so quickly.......now, when it starts raining and they start talking flooding, I start packing a bag.....

GB hope you have a good trip...stay safe

I love Menards but they aren't here....every time we go to Nebraska, we go at least two or three times.....

Dlr I hope people will do what is needed to be done so we can get back to a little living....I think some are just being rebellion....they don't understand the danger to an older person or anyone for that matter, with health problems....

Had a ton of blood taken Thursday. Mostly for tests for kidney specialist....RA dr. will video call me on Thursday and the following week I go in to see kidney specialist unless she goes to video calls....will see....I use face time once in a while with my son but not sure how video calling works....should be interesting...I'm not computer smart....husband is the one who is the genius in that department. I am hoping she says I can go out a little but I doubt it...I have no immune system....and am wondering what my RA factor is.....16 years ago it was over 600....two years ago it was 38.... usually it runs in the 90's. normal is 14 or under....so I guess I was doing great two years ago...LOL...I feel good....not sure what she will say when I tell her I am not going take those shots for the bone building....they are expensive and the side effects are things I have already so don't need adding to them.....and, I am not keen on giving myself a shot in my stomach everyday.....I have been doing the humira shots every two weeks for the last ten years and finally got the citrus free shots which don't hurt....what a blessing....

Been reading some old books I found....Robyn Carr's Virgin River series....I think I have six or seven to go....internet has been off all day.....so no tv or phone....came back on about 8.....

Hope everyone has a great weekend....stay safe...

rabbit- your DH is smart for protecting himself.

Taking DS2 to a free self defense class in morning. He's been wanting to go. We would discuss finances if he wants to join. He will need to pay for it.

Gym opening up but must wear masks and limited people to go per day. I wanna see how power lifters will do their lifting with a mask. DH says he can't breathe with one but wants to go anyway. Should be interesting....

I Bought a golden honeydew. It's canary yellow and the size of a grapefruit. Hope it's good. Got organic peaches. Juicy and delish.

DH has been losing his keys. I earned enough swagbucks for a Amazon card and got a free tracker to use with a phone app. It will be for Christmas.

The men at dh's work turn wearing a mask into a political or macho/fearful thing. Bottom line, we wear one out of compassion for others. We would hate to be asymptomatic and not know we have the virus and pass it on to someone else who could potentially die from complications.

bw - I hope you get some good news from your kidney dr. and can venture out a little. My husband had to help me when I had a video call with my dr. I am not computer smart either!

rujerro - I too wonder how can people work out with a mask on? I know I couldn't do it.

So far this morning I have colored my hair, have a load of whites in the dryer and did a run through of the house. Still have to vacuum the living room though. Foster dog was on the couch and I didn't want to scare her. Cool temps this weekend, in the mid 60's, so planning on doing outside work. Maybe we will pick up something for dinner. Noticed this morning that something ate one of my spinach plants in the garden and also stripped bare one of the tomato plants. We have never had any problems before, except with bugs so really don't know what ate them.

Sounds like a great day, GB! I have always wanted to spend some time out there.

I'm taking it easy today because joints hurt. It's nice now but clouds and weather are due around noon. May get some more of the basement unpacked and arranged. We got rid of two old (and large) book shelves and even with the new built in shelving we have less storage than we used to. We have culled a lot (but not gotten rid of it yet) but still have problems getting everything in its place.

There's the usual laundry, dishes, etc. Bath needs going over.

Picked leaves and garlic to make pesto, just have to get all the ingredients and whizz it up. And then clean up after. Not sure what lunch will be but for dinner there is l/o bbq pork and buns for sandwiches, and I want to make a salad with l/o bulgur I cooked earlier.

I have mopped floors at dad's, will vacuum as well. Brought leftovers for lunch & supper. Nice weather until Wednesday when it will be 90's and humid so I need to figure out what remains to be done in the yard. No mosquitoes yet but that won't last long. Hope all are having a good weekend.

Took DS2 to the martial arts class. He said he was interested but not sure if he can do it. He was offered a free class to try and I'm sure he will do that.

Weather is cooler today as yesterday was very hot. Going to church tonight and signed up online. Printed out tickets.

I made a casserole yesterday and won't cook today.DH smoked prime rib a few days ago so everyone can eat that.
