    Thumbs up Frugal challenge - June 6 - 12th

Well this week I have to be super frugal. I spent more money than I should have on the weekend.

    ~eating free food still

~no a/c as of yet even though yesterday got to be +28C
    ~no $$ spent today
~wanted shelves built in the boy's closet. Dh found some wood we already had so cost was $0

Got to cut the costs in virtually every area this week/month. We've been hit hard with medical expenses and so forth.

Thankfully there are some great loss leaders this week, so that should help the grocery bill ( and I'm done buying groceries for my nephew's family).

Otherwise, we'll see what we can cut.

Um, going nowhere today unless I go get a .50 Dr Pepper. I want my daily fix. LOL

Trying to keep the AC off, but it gets sooo muggy in the house. We need some screen doors(along with everything else we need) to open the house and cool it down without moths or flys getting in.
I have pork steak and beans in the fridge that I will turn into chili for dinner. Not sure if I will eat that or the refried rice. Dinner turns my stomach. Lunch will be leftovers, breakfast will be cold cereal or oatmeal, depends on what the kids want.

Trying to save as much as possible for the months of June and July because we will go on 2 weeks of vacation in July. I want to be able to take along any extra money for the trip.

    ~DH BBQ'ing outside saving elec.
~All lights/appliances off unless someone is actually in the room using them
    ~A/C down
~Changed the air filter for the month of June
    ~Eating leftovers for lunch
    ~Made a monthly menu
~Kitchen blind open for light. Try to keep others closed to keep the heat out.
~Making a "shedule" of daily activites to plan my day and time, saving me countless hours of unplanned time.
(I am one who likes a list to mark off finished projects.)

well, yesterday we were bad and got Burger King for dinner. I need to start keeping an even closer eye on "extras" and try to nip unnessesary spending in the bud.

~Dinner will be a quick one from the pantry tonight. Dh and I both have a packed lunch today.
~Working on promoting my new Tupperware business - I have two parties scheduled already!
~Spent no $ yesterday (other than the aforementioned dinner).
~Washed clothes and hung on line to dry.

~money spent on weekend for chemicals for the pool.....got them at a warehouse supplies store for much less....so glad I found this place.
~going to town today to take BAGS of clothes and such to Salvation Army and drop off boxes and bags at the consignment store for $ plus pick up money that is owing to me
~return 2 pair of shorts to Walmart that didn't fit Delaney,, $20.00.....won't be buying anymore as I received some hand me downs that were in perfect condition so Delaney has enough now
    ~chicken in crockpot for supper
~made sandwiches and drinks to take with us when we go to town....eat in the van.....we were spending way too much money eating out. When we go to town it's half an hour away and I like to combine a bunch of errands so by the time we get going one meal is always involved. Even for just Dylan and I once a week that would be approx. $12.00 so for 4 weeks that's $48.00...I can buy alot of groceries for that.
~all lights and appliances turned off, TV unplugged (we moved our TV this weekend....yes, I changed the livingroom around AGAIN and it's so much easier to get to the plug this way. I've been doing so well on our hydro bill and now that we have the pool going (pump) I want to decrease other areas to make up for it.

I spent $9.75 at Dollar Tree. I love that store. LOL. Otherwise

Eating at home, not sure about dinner yet, the older two kids are at SIL's, so it is just me and Bri. Emma eats babyfood. LOL
AC went off when I got up and it is still cool in here. Probably will get muggy later as it is overcast and light, light sprinkles.
