I'm doing lots of laundry again, drying outside.

I got a bargain for Dial liquid hand soap, yesterday. They cost me .44 cents each, after coupon. I got 20 bottles, plus one free because the cashier made a mistake.

I also went to the 2$ per brown bag sale at our church. I got 5 bags. It cost me 10$ but I have bought clothes for the whole family for the year, plus books, 15 wicker baskets, a few plush toys, two pair of almost new sunglasses with the casing.(expenseive ones) and one toaster, like new. Now is that a deal or what!

This sale happens twice a year---the last day before the Christmas holidays and the last 3 days before they close for the summer.

So far, that's it for me.

not such a frugal weekend but tomarrow is a better day! Still

-using shower water to flush toilet or water plants with
-hung clothes to dry on indoor lines
--resale shopped and finished off ds's summer wardrobe!

unfortunately collected far too much change for the change jar...by spending too many dollars!

Congratulations CJ on having all the material you need for those quilts and Lucie for getting such great buys!!!
Danielle~what a sweet mom you are to share your scrubs with your daughter.

Today I tried to be as frugal as possible but still make this day special for DH. I made a big picnic lunch to take with us to a beautiful park right on the lake in Northern Idaho. They have free concerts in the park on Sundays so we were treated to classic rock and country. There are also basketabll courts so the boys and Jeff played some pick up games of basketball, Jaysn got int he lake for awhile and I enjoyed just watching my family and listening to the band. We did stop for icecream on our way home, but used a coupon to help defray the costs. Oh yes, I cut DH's hair before we went and he is looking like less of a wild man now!

DH just left to see if a friend borrowed our ladder, we can't find it here and we just used it the other day. He needs it to get up on the roof and fix the hose for the swamp cooler. We are supossed to hit the upper 80's low 90's by Tuesday and Ido not do well in heat. I get really nauseus if I get overheated.

Tonight it's leftovers for dinner since none of us feel like cooking.

    Be blessed!!!

I did end up spending a few $$ yesterday. I took dh for a father's day treat at the ice cream place.

    Today I'm:

~no a/c yet. Just not hot enough
~windows will be opened to let in the breeze
~using rain water for flushing toilet with
~doing laundry with less laundry soap (its surprising how much you can get away with)
~going through our hs supplies and sorting. What were finished with, sending in for credit where I purchase my hs supplies from
    ~dh works today

Trying to curb spending here. I'm diligently working on selling my Tupperware business. I have my first two parties this week, and I'm hoping I'll make enough off of these parties to cover my costs so far.

~Dh and I both have packed lunch today.
    ~Heat is off!!!!
~Picking strawberries from my garden, but just not sure what to do with them all (wish you all lived next door, I'd share with you)!

Well, two days in one here. Yesterday, I didnt spend money but dh did. He needed supplies for the road. I got him turkey, bread, mustard, water, babywipes and some cottage cheese.

Today, no plans to go anywhere. Just clean. Eating from the pantry. So far the AC is off, it was on all night when it was cool and stormy so it is nice and cool today.

    My frugal doings for today:

Hit the grocery store for marked down meats and got some great deals!

Washed laundry in cold water and hanging it on the line to dry.

Sanding and stripping down the railings so I can prime them (Josh said he wanted to do the priming, so I'll see if he is still so enthusiatic about it once they have sried from me washing them down).

Meals from the pantry, freezer and fridge. Dinner tonight will be homemade garlic bread, spagetti with sauce I made from our garden produce last summer and froze, a huge garden sald from our garden. Lunch was leftovers.

    Reheated coffee in the microwave.

Returned books and videos to library and borrowed a few more.

Opened windows early this morning to let the cool air in. Have the swamp cooler on low now to keep the house cool. It is really energy efficient.

Doing more research online on health issues.

Decluttering~gave away one of our extra TVs to a friend for her son's video games.

    Good morning!

I just went over my phone bill. I realized I can drop my select call options-they are "scopes" to certain exchanges but we don't call anyone in them anymore, and SIL I can call with my cell phone after 9 for free. It will save me $7.34 per MONTH or $88.08 per YEAR! WOOT!

Eating from the pantry today. I think I'll make some pumpkin bread since the ravenous ones are home for the summer....lol.

Need to go over the budget again with a fine tooth comb. DH starts his new job next week and is taking a pay cut to start off but will be up to full rate within 2 years. I have to really make those pennies squeal for a while.

Trying to sell on ebay-I've made half of my cc payment so far this month. Need the other half by next week. Hopefully we can have our yard sale this weekend.

I'm taking the girls to the library today to hang out and get them some reading material. They really love to read and if they have a bunch of books laying around, that's all they do.

I'll find other ways to be frugal today..

Danielle, I know what your saying about those pay cuts. BUT they really challenge us and its surprising what you can come up with. Good luck!!

I ended up going into the city yesterday to pick up some supplies for my new job and while there we got groceries. So I did spend some $$ yesterday.

    Otherwise, I'm:

~I save $9.45 by using Canadian Tire money to help pay for my cleaning supplies.
~we got gas in the city, saving 2¢ a litre
~no a/c as of yet. Not warm enough.
~purchased a few good sales yesterday
~continuing to use rain water for flushing with
~we didn't eat out when we were in the city. We waited until we got home. I picked up bananas and fed the kids each a banana in the van to keep them from getting hungry
~going over the budget to see where we can cut back a bit more

    ~made homemade peach jam
    ~blinds/curtains open for light

No $$ spent here the last couple of days.

A/c set at 80 with fans going
having to use the dryer since we have had tons of rain
    use 1/2 detergents, soaps, shampoos
eating out of pantry and freezer

No plans to spend any money the next couple days - have a couple appointments but they won't cost anything, already have gas in the truck.

    Have a great week!
