Reading my free Budget Living and Kiplinger's mags from AllFreeMagazines.com

Putting together a meal plan for the upcoming week for myself, so I don't stop for fast food since I was too lazy to make something the night before.

Fed the kitties some FancyFeast cat food I received for free.

May I join in? I love the planning and motivation threads like this give.

~ I took a house guest to a free museum this morning.

~ had to drive dh to work (flat tire on his bike) and guest to airport. Stopped at mall to pick up developed film on the way home. Checked into a bookstore and didn't buy a thing! Found some titles to search for at the library though.

~ I have to go pick dh up from work too. As he works at a library, I am going to go early and browse the shelves and read magazines.

Not a frugal weekend at all

Hit a baby sale and got some great buys which was good
Went with DH to home depot and ended up spending 492.00 for home improvement and yard equipment which is bad!

    But also:
~washed one load and hung to dry
~Washing a couple loads tonight in cold and will hang to dry tomorrow
~Eating left overs from the weekend for supper today.
~Roasted 2 chickens Saturday so will be able to have casserole, sandwiches and a stir fry this week. Saved on energy costs as well as my time
~Rented movies with buy one get one for entertainment. 7 day rental so plenty of time to watch them
~cut coupons and looking at sale ad
~Got free 5 pound dog food and free 5 pound cat food

    * Two load of laundry hung on the line to dry.
    * Made tuna sandwiches for dinner so I could get the last few upcs and mail out for the Del Monte $10 refund.
    * Worked in the garden; picking tomatoes, zucchini and cleaning up
    * Clipped coupons, looked at the ads and made my shopping list.

Welcome to all the newbies. It's wonderful to have you all join this thread. As Michelle said, anyone can join any thread here.

I'm posting for a couple days again:

~no heat yet although it is cool in the morning. Were suppose to get down to 0C tonight and -1C tomorrow night.
    ~picked up a used freezer for $20
~made 9 qts. beet pickles from the free beets I was given
~freezing a bag of carrots (free)
~baked 6 loaves of bread and a batch of buns on the weekend
~picked up 12 tubs of toothpaste yesterday while in the city. It was a Sun. promotion - each tube costs 49¢.
~got gas in the van yesterday while in the city - 2¢ a litre cheaper along with getting Canadian Tire dollars and Sobey's cents off coupons.
~did not eat out while in the city.
    ~dh worked all weekend
~purchased 32 double rolls of tp on sale to add to my stockpile
~dropped off library books while in the city so that I didn't have to make an extra trip to drop books off. Our gas is back up from 99.9¢ a litre to $109.9 a litre.
