Frugal Challenge 10/22 to 10/28
Today I am:
1. Going to the library to borrow a book
2. Picking up some needed groceries on the same trip as the library to save gas. Will shop from a list.
3. Did one load of laundry in cold, hanging to dry.
4. Watching the World Series on tv tonight for free entertainment.

10/23:
~ breakfast, lunch and dinner were homemade
~ drank only water all day
~ drove to work :S and will have to drive there again tomorrow
~ drove over to's place to take care of Nisha
~ entertained myself all evening with cleaning my place and his (a treat for him, since I usually just leave his mess to himself, but this is going to be a very rough week for him so I wanted him to come home to a nice clean apartment for at least one night).
~ bought Nisha a litter scoop and some cat food (because I know he forgot) -- total $8.69.

10/23:
Not a very frugal day:
~ breakfast and lunch were completely forgotten about, so my mom bought me a bagel, which I stretched into both meals.
~ drank water or tea all day
~ worked all day
~'s grandfather is really sick, so we've spent most of yesterday and today waiting to hear from his family back home to see if there's been any change
~ bought Nisha a name tag so when she goes outside, at least someone who happens to find her knows that she has a home. Name tag was $21.00 (bought a good brass disk one with enscribed name and info) and collar was $4.00 (from the Wal-Mart). I thinkis going to give me back at least half of that.
~ forgot completely about my gourmet cooking class tonight! I had to hightail it to the local grocery store in order to make it on time. But I did, so dinner was all prepared for me right in front of my eyes.
~ came home, apartment is nice and clean, so I just made myself a cup of tea, set out some stuff for lunches, and set up my clothes for the morning. I'm already exhausted!

-dinner and lunch at home
-new thermostat put in living room...hopefully will decrease power bill due to it being programmed to be on 60 during the day
Today:
-lost my mind and bought breakfast instead of cooking it myself (kids ate breakfast at home)...total of $4
-skipped lunch
-cooking dinner at home before kids get home from school...won't be tempted by take-out
-running kids to extracurriculars tonight so no chance to get bored and go spend money
-reading for entertainment
-heat on but set on 64...60 was too cold for me
