Frugal challenge Nov. 12 - 18th
How is everyone doing? I'm upping my frugality once again. This thread always gives me some new ideas. Great job ladies at continuing on your frugal quest.
Today I'm doing the following:
~lights, tv, radio and computer off when not in use
~trying to remember to turn off the iron after I'm finished using it
~no spending today
~challenging myself not to go into the local co-op all this week. They've raised their prices and I'm not impressed.

Nov. 12th
~ free lunch at church (potluck),
~ working on Christmas ornaments for sale,
~ dh wanted to go out, so we went over to the free public art gallery,
~ leftovers for supper,
~ I had to buy more milk, so went to Safeway (our expensive store) as to go to our usual store was too far away (not worth it). While at SW I picked up some apple and cranberry sparkling non-alcoholic cider. This was by way of an experiment to see what the stuff actually was. It was very expensive. however, I can my own crabapple juice and blueberry juice. I'm thinking I could add cranberry juice and club soda and get the same thing...for a fraction of the price. Sounds like a great alternative to alcohol at Christmas and New Year's!
~ candlelight dinner to save on electricity,
~ laundry with homemade detergent and hang drying,
~ finishing a bible study I started over a month ago. Seems I never have time to finish it. Today I just sat down and made myself do it. I am not buying books to have them sit on my shelf.
