Ok, I haven't posted here in a while & need to get back into keeping "track" of what i'm doing frugally!! today I did:

    laundry in cold
used 1/2 the detergent & diluted softener
    all meals from home
no heat on (still using just the woodstove)
no lights on during the day
    no tv half the day

I don't remember what else, but this at least will get me back in the habit of posting here again!

~Used coupons and bought food on sale.
~ Hand shoveled instead of using snow blower (got exercise and didn't use gas for the blower!)
    ~ Eating leftovers for lunches.
~ Making bread instead of buying it.
~ Hanging some of the clothes to dry on rack.
~ Using leftover ham we were given (from family) to make a big pot of split pea soup...that'll be at least 3 dinners this week...and I was given the split peas, too!
~ I'm trying to get in the habit of using less detergent...need to work on it!
~ Limiting TV watching time to save on electricity.
~ Staying home tonight for New Years (having food here that we got on sale...having sparkling cider that I got with a coupon cheap...and watching a movie together that we already own).
~ Taking luke warm showers to save on gas for heating the water.
~ Having a friend cut my hair on Monday for $10 (and she comes to my place so that saves gas, too!)

I'm really getting serious this year.

    1. Hardly had the heat on this evening.
    2. Worked in my bedroom.
    3. Balanced my December budget. Was $171.54 under budget!!
    4. Drinking much more water.
    5. Getting serious about taking my vitamins. (I'm hit and miss with that).
