Blinds are open, lights are off.
Heat turned lower, using the solar energy today
Had to replace kitchen faucet, however did it ourselves, and retrofitted the sink to have a sprayer, and saved $150 for 15 minutes work drilling a whole. (ummm that's like $600/hr tax free!)
Eating in Didn't even go to Timmies(I have GC from dd's team yet..lol).a

Must get back on the wagon asap. My bank account shows...

Stayed home except for brief trip to the store for milk, eggs, etc.
Still sick so stayed home all weekend, saving gas
Organized desk and paid bills online
Watched videos we had instead of renting.
Heat off for the most part
DH was away this weekend so definitely saved tv, lights, water-he is my biggest problem
    Turning computers off at night
    Used 1/2 laundry soap
    Used Downy free sample
    Using shampoo free samples
    Used Tide Free sample
    ordered more free samples online
    Sold some half.com stuff

Well I guess I'm not too bad. I still have a mound of coupons to cut out.

This week is not going to be a very frugal week. I'm taking vacations on Friday and next Monday but have a activity packed weekend ahead.

    Today -
Ate breakfast from stash at work (I've found that it works out better to just have things at work to eat rather than try to remember to bring them.

That was about it. Tomorrow I will have to do better...
    tomorrows goals.

    breakfast from stash
    bring lunch from home
go to bed by 10 pm (I've been staying up late recently and every little bit help on the electricty bill.)

    This week I am:

Turning off lights - that's hard cuz it dark and dreary outside!
Keeping the themostat down - again it's hard cuz of above.
Doing full loads of laundry - cut down on H2O!
    Cooking at home.
Taking lunch to work - this is a new one for me! So proud - huh!
I transplanted my tomatos and peppers into bigger pots yesterday - can hardly wait - yum.
Making one big trip today - grocery, gas, library, post office for the week.

    Wish me luck!

    Sunday:
-went to race in Martinsville VA. Tried to make it as frugal as possible. I packed our drinks and snacks from home. Did stop for biscuits on the way there because we overslept! Also had their world-famous hot dogs for lunch. A friend who went with us paid us some money he owed us so that was our spending $. Also stacked up on freebies to give to the kids instead of buying them something.

    Monday:
-DH took us out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It was his way of making it up to the kids since we didn't take them with us to the race.
    -lunch and dinner at home
-lights and TV off until 7 pm
-DH building a fence to go around our back yard instead of hiring someone to do it...saving a couple of thousand right there

I'm figuring out I have to post daily to stay accountable.

    Tuesday:
-all meals at home. I even ate leftovers from yesterday's trip out for breakfast.
-went to Wal Mart and bought absolutely nothing. That was such a liberating feeling!
-made kids buy video games they wanted with THEIR $$$
-returned library books before fines kicked in
-determined to use up some HBA products I have before buying new ones. I need to try out some of those samples I've been collecting forever.
-took out something for lunch and dinner from freezer
-did go to Dollar General and bought some stuff for presents, cards for Easter, etc. Only spent $20 for 2 presents, 3 cards, wool scrubbers for kitchen and tampons. I would have easily spent twice as much at Wal Mart.
-menu planning for the next week
-doing laundry (1/2 detergent and fabric softener). Have to use dryer because the pollen here is horrible and my DD is so allergic to it.
-found some samples of Singulair my dr gave me. Won't have to refill DS's script until next week.

I haven't done anything frugal today...oh wait! yes I did! One thing, and it's a good trick for everyone to know.

When you brew a cup of coffee, and then you brew another one right after, you leave the old grounds in and put another 1/2 amount on top. This makes another full pot of coffee.

So I did do that today. I have one of those little 4 cup coffee makers, and it makes what amounts to two mugs of coffee. Two wasn't enough this morning, I needed more, so I brewed another cup.
