Today I will be eating from home all day. Using up some things. Going to try for no heat. House is at 66 right now so we will see. I washed a load in cold water and ran dishwasher for packed load and opened on dry cycle. We will be trick or treating and coming home to recycle the candy we dont eat by passing out to other trick or treaters. Otherwise Id just toss them.

-no more laundry
-grocery shop for few things (minimum)
-use up whats in fridge and freezer
-pay off empire bill
-send out scholastic to daycare and friends (used for free books)

Yesterday, I re-strung my clothesline to include more of the posts the previous owner put up in the courtyard (my house is U-shaped & so has a small courtyard in the back). I then washed some clothes in cold & hung them out to dry.
This week, I plan to take my lunch to work all week & eat dinner at home.
No a/c since the weather's getting cooler & no heat because I don't have central heat.
Read my library books.
Knit Christmas presents.

Well I am usually very frugal as most of you know so I will just continue to do what I always do:
~ Wash clothes in cold
~ Use dishwasher only when full and let them air dry
~ No AC or Heat until atleast the mid of Nov. or beginning of Dec. (blankets and sweatshirts... here we come)
~ Eat what we have at home
~ No eating out (we hardly EVER do this!)
~ No frivilous spending on things we dont need
~ Finish Xmas shopping at flea markets/yard sales, Dollar Stores or make gifts
~ Sell things at home to make some extra moola
There's more of course but these just came to me at the moment, lol

For this past weekend, we went to Washington DC. I will list the things we did to save money on our trip, since I wasn't home to save money.
- rode the Metro to avoid parking and traffic - was $3.70 a person the first day, the second day when I knew we would be riding a lot I purchased all day tickets for $6.50 a piece. This saves us around $20-30
- we packed a lot of snacks and water bottles, although not enough. We did end up buying some water and snacks, but not as many as we would have.
- the biggest thing we did was stay with friends for the 2 nights we were there, hotels were $250 a night!
- we picked very cheap or free things to do, including visiting the Antietam Battlefied on the way down, instead of the Baltimore Aquarium - savings there of $96
Overall we totally stayed in our budget. The only unexpected thing I spent money on was a calendar. It was only $8 and it will be our souveneir from the trip, I had wanted a Christmas ornament, but they were $20!
