Soap Balls
Does anyone here make soap balls out of their leftover soap scraps? I recently started doing this and the soap balls are very attractive looking. Even dh commented favorably about them. I got the directions off of the web to break up and throw the scraps into the blender to grate (or grate by hand with a grater). Then add them to a bowl and pour a little warm water on top and let sit for 15 minutes. Then roll into balls. It usually takes a few days for them to dry completely.

Save all year, add coloring, then use as quick gifts in a basket.
For a teen, add fine glitter.
The soap balls are well liked.

It sounds like a great idea for home use. I am going to start saving all of DH's little slivers of soap for that. I use shower gel so I don't have any but DH only uses Irish Spring. I don't think I would give them as a gift because I would not want to receive soap that has already been used by someone else as a gift.
