I used some ground meat and tomato sauce with the cheese manicotti. It was so good.

Angel food Boxes are food put in a box. They come from Angelfood Ministries hence the name Angel Food boxes. http://www.angelfoodministries.com/
Each month they make a list of foods called the menu that you can buy for $30. Anyone can buy them there is no qualifications other than pay for the box.

They also have special boxes that you can purchase too for an addition price with the purchase of the original $30 box.

That sounded so yummy I put it on the menu for Friday.

I will probably let my "I don't like red sauce" child have Alfredo sauce on hers. There should be some leftover from when I make her birthday pizza, her favorite, White pizza. Might put some of the chicken on it too, from the chicken quarters. I generally cook them up all at once then take the meat off the bone and use for things like the white pizza, stir fry, etc

How are you making the pepper steak? I would love to know how to do that.

Also what are you smoothing your beef patties in?

I just noticed that instead of blueberry muffin mix my box had pancake mix substituted instead.

Don't know if I'll cook them up and freeze for a quick breakfast or if we will have breakfast for dinner one night.

I don't really have recipes, KWIM? Here's how I do it.

    Pepper steak
    slice steak in strips
    brown in pan
Add garlic, ginger and soy sauce to taste
Take out of skillet and set aside.
add 2 sliced onions and 3 sliced peppers to the skillet and cook until tender
Add about 3/4 - 1 C of beef bouillon to pan, stir in 1/2 T sugar and 1 T of cornstarch mixed in water, add back steak and cook until slightly thickened. Serve on rice. (I'm dumping in broccoli too this time.)

    Smothered Whatever
    cook beef patties, set aside
cook a sliced onion or two until soft
Add 8 oz can of tomato sauce, green pepper (1/4?) minced, 2 Tb brown sugar, a squirt of mustard, worcestershire sauce, splash of vinegar (small) stir, add meat back in and let simmer

I took the ground turkey and sauteed it with onions and green pepper, salt and pepper. I then added spaghetti sauce. I spread some in a casserole dish, put the manicotti on top. Added the rest of the meat sauce over the manicotti and baked.

We used the Chicken Breast Fajita Strips and the corn tortillas both from the AF box and made Chicken Fajitas for our Super Bowl dinner.

I fried up the Strips then fried up some green-n- red peppers and onions ( already chopped and in the freezer). Set them out in separate bowls along with a bowl of cheese, a jar of salsa, and some leftover sour cream. Everyone made their own and ate them in front of the game

It was very fun and I feel added to the party atmosphere of the game.
