Default Meal Plan for the Week

With the arrival of cooler weather, I have to get back into my regular meal planning routine. My laid back summer approach of "hmm, what looks good from the garden?" won't cut it.

    Sunday-chili, biscuits, deviled eggs
    Monday-stuffed spaghetti squash with marinara
    Tuesday-broccoli, chicken and rice bake
Wednesday-pork chops, twice baked potatoes, pickled zucchini
Thursday-tortellini with alfredo sauce, caesar salad
Friday-carne asada nachos with avocado salsa
Saturday-assorted leftover and/or sandwiches (fend for yourself, people)

Anything that can be prepped ahead of time is either in the fridge or freezer and ready to roll.

What's your menu for the week?

I am hoping to spend most of tomorrow cooking up some chicken pot pies and veggie soup, and making some pasta salad. With luck, I can graze on those for a couple of weeks. I went to the store today and bought all the ingredients, along with some fruit and salad ingredients.

I'm trying to clean out freezer so some disjointed meals.

Tues: crockpot cream of mushroom soup, crab cakes (crab from freezer), stuffed clams (freezer),steamed broccoli (freezer), french bread if I have time to make it
Wed: mojo pork (freezer), rice, corn chowder (freezer)
Thurs: leftovers or use single serve leftovers from freezer
Fri: nachos with with salsa chicken (freezer)
Sat: dd's choice from freezer for lunch
dinner: turkey bacon (freezer), hash browns (freezer), quiche (freezer)

I'd like to get the freezer cleaned out, defrosted, and ready for the turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas

    Monday - leftovers
    Tuesday - Shepherds pie
Wednesday - biscuits & gravy, fruit
    Thursday - Chicken patties
    Friday - Blts

I found little bits of this and that in the freezer. Since it's just dh & I for a few weeks, we'll be cleaning out the freezer.
