Where in KS are you? I live in South Coffeyville, OK, which is right on the border of KS, closest town being Coffeyville!

Okay, here goes. I grew up in Coffeyville -- my parents ran a lumber yard in South Coffeyville for many years.
I went to college in Salina -- the old Marymount College which has been closed for some time.
I was married in Wichita -- in the River Parks behind Century 2 and the library. We lived in Park City for a couple of years. Before that DH worked at the old Institute of Logopedics.

Have you DH's family drive you out by the new grade school. It's called Community Elementary and is all state of the art. Instead of replacing all the schools which were in pretty bad shape, they just built one -- everyone goes there and they ride the bus.
We were there last month for a short visit with my parents. Dad had to take us on a tour of the city to show off everything that has been built since we were there last. I didn't recognize the hospital with the new addition and there are a lot new things up on Big Hill, not to mention LeClere park, etc.
I talk to my mom once a week by phone, but we don't get down there are often as we should. We wanted to go to my high school class reunion last summer but didn't make it. Seems like every time we plan a trip to Coffeyville life happens and we don't make it.
