Photo Babies/ Angels.... Picture Tutorial.....
Photo Babies/ Angels.........
What you'll need for each doll......
1 wooden doll head..... This has 1 flat side
3- 3 inch pieces of 3/4 inch to 1 inch dowel rod... (wooden spools glued end to end can also be used...however the dowel rod is more frugal)
1- 2 inch straw hat (2 inch brim)
A small bit of doll hair....color of your choice......
4- 3/4 inch mushroom caps (for hands and feet).....(I am using smaller ones in the photos)
1-2 1/2X3 inch scrap of fabric for shirt....... ( boy and girl )
2-2 1/2 pieces of denim for boys pants.... (enough to wrap around the legs)
1-3x18 inch scrap of fabric for girls shirt...... (more or less, depending how full you want the shirt to look)
Thread and needle.....
Wood glue or white glue........
Hot glue and gun.....
Scissors......
Pinking sheers (optional).... (cutting fabric with pinking sheers will not unravel as easy and gives a nice edge, no hemming required)

Using hot glue, glue a bit of hair on the doll head, leave the flat part of the doll head facing forward, this is where the photo will go... You won't need hair on the top of the head, the hat will cover..... Use whatever you like for hair.... Doll hair, yarn, spanish moss... ect...... I use just a little hair for the boy doll and more for the girl....

Using just a bit of hot glue, glue the head on ..place it in the tiny hole that you've cut out of the shirt... this will ensure the head is glued to the arms and not merely to the fabric of the shirt...
Tie a piece of ribbon to the neck or waist for a belt.... This helps if any glue is showing.....
Glue mushroom caps to the ends of the legs and arms.......
