Miserly Monday 12/14

Morning Villagers!!
Today is a big day for a couple of different reasons

DS takes his drivers' test

Appraisal on the house finally gets done (we've accepted an offer, this is the last step before we can close)

On a more worrisome note, but little baby patient, Elizabeth, had emergency surgery last night - bleeding from her tracheostomy, and she's on Plavix AND aspirin - and I've not been able to get ahold of her parents to check on her. Think I'll make a run over to the hospital.......

Kids have 4H tonight
Packing
Errands
Maybe working (if she's released from hospital), maybe not - we'll see.

Say a prayer for her today, would you? She's very tiny and frail, and I'm madly in love with her sweet face and happy disposition.

All I need to do is finish packing my bag and run the vac and then I can shower and relax until its time to head to the airport

MC I'll def keep that baby in my thoughts. Good luck with the house appraisal and the son w/driving test!

I will be running myself crazy the next few days. We leave Friday for 9 days in Disney World and I am so not ready. I've got so much to do and so little time.

Today I've got to...
Finish getting my dad's Christmas gift
Wrap one more gift for my nephew
Get the rest of the stocking stuffers for my nephew
Gather all of the stocking stuffers for my nieces
Pick up DS from school
Pick up DD from school (it rained this morning and I don't like for her to drive in the rain)
Clean a room or two of the house
Pack a little
Have dinner at my daddy's - and drop off all of his, my step-mom's, my nieces', my nephew's, my grandfather's and grandmother's gifts
Finish my Christmas cards

MC~ I diffently keep that bub in my prayers and thoughts.

I had a pretty busy day today.
~ I went to hospital to return items that I'm no longer using.
~ Coffee with my Social Worker
~ Library to return books and pick some more books up.
~ Hand in my script to my Pdoc
For the rest of the day I just did odds and ends at home.

Good morning!! It's a nice quiet Monday so far.

Have already:
~put dinner in the crockpot
~emptied hampers & started laundry
~made the bed
~made breakfast

Still need to:
~clean up the kitchen
~work on Christmas Carol lapbook w/ boys
~read to the boys
~play a board game with Matthew
~get Logan on the math software
~knit
~make dinner
~take dd to work

Got DH to work
Dropped of the KC donation to Catholic Charities
Started some laudnry

still need to:
Continue wrapping gifts
Do more laundry

Dinner is leftovers from a party this weekend...no cooking for me!

Good morning all!! Woke up at 4:00 AM - couldn't go back to sleep, so finally got up at 4:30AM!! Think I will be taking a nap today.

Must finish my Chrismas Cards today!!
Set up various doctor's appts. for DD
Check in with two of m y Drs today re allergic reaction to meds yesterday
Finish wrapping presents to be mailed
Pay bills

DH just got up to go in to sub for me - it sure helps that he is a sub teacher - since schools are closed almost every Friday for the rest of the school year (and subsequently our pay) - not many teachers are calling for subs.

MC - sending prayers and aloha to your little angel - please let us know how she's doing.

I am getting a slow start on Today.
I am not feeling the greatest do to allergies and a sinus headache so I am not sure what I will get done.
At noon I am having lunch with a friend and stop by the post office on my way home to by stamps. My DH and I also going over to a friends house for dinner tonight.
In between those two things I am going to do a couple loads of laundry, decorate for Christmas, and work on Christmas cards.
All in all a low key day for me.

Not going to be a really fun day.

I have an follow up oncologist's appointment. Usually not a big deal. But my real doctor moved, and the other doctor left is so overwhelmed with patients that they are always running way behind. Last appointment was at 1:30, I saw him at 6:45. I was NOT happy. Today the appointment is at 2:00 - I'm giving them one hour to call me back (probably another hour after that). If not, I reschedule and leave.

Then grocery shopping. Not my favorite thing and evil to be done that late in the day. I'll hardly have a prayer of getting handicapped or even decent parking, so I see a lot of pain in my immediate future.

On the upside -- I work the next two days and then ... VACATION!

So I just have to get through today's drama and it's clear sailing.

MC, sending good thoughts for the baby.

Today is not a very happy day so far and I don't think it will end happy either. Some big stress our family is dealing with.

Don't feel like doing much but I need to get the laundry done that didn't get done this weekend.

Not leaving the house today and the weather is yucky cold. Blah.

Happy Monday!

So far I have:
-worked this morning
-went to lunch with a friend
-stopped by the bank to add to the EF (yay!)
-in the process of making 3 loaves of bread
-chicken is in the crockpot for chicken noodle soup
-folded a load of laundry, put another load in

Yet to do:
-finish soup
-finish bread
-sweep
-laundry
-go to the office to pick up charts for tomorrow's visits
-eat supper, clean kitchen, shower, read, relax

Well, Elizabeth is in a medically induced coma. She has developed an 'bypass' (collateral) blood vessel in her lungs because of her heart defect, and it ruptued last night. It stopped on it's own during the surgery, but is in a place that cannot be reached by ordinary means if it would start again. If she were to cough or cry at this point it could be VERY bad. In a few minutes, all the doctors involved are going to pow-wow and plan an approach. God, give them wisdom.

I feel soooo lazy today.

But....

I put gift cards in Christmas cards, for the folks we're giving them to (teens, etc). Stamped and ready to mail.

Wrapped the last of the gifts.

Paid bills.

Have 3 loads of laundry to do--I'm on load 2.

It's snowing.

For the next 3 days, supposedly.

Am knitting a pair of socks for 5 yr old grand-niece.

I am officially DONE getting ready for Christmas today!!

Poor little thing. That is so sad. Hope she pulls through this.
