Miserly Monday 12/21
Thinking about what types of cookies I will bring to sister-in-laws dinner party. Washing linens. Keeping kids on task with chores. Need to iron. Will straighten out makeup and bathroom drawers.

Happy Monday everyone! I got to sleep in a bit this morning. Then I got up and addressed our Christmas cards. I forgot to last night. They are addressed and in the mailbox ready to go.
It snowed last night, so I'm not going anywhere today. I still need to exercise which I will be doing very soon. I have some laundry and dishes that need doing. Later today we are going to make Christmas ornaments.
Have a great day everyone!

It has been a busy morning! I packed THREE orders and put them out for the mailman. THANK goodness I got them done early, because he showed up REALLY early.
Someone is coming by to pickup/purchase a used Deni Vacuum Sealer and a box of extra rolls that I listed on Craigslist. I have other things listed; so I am hoping to get some more sales. Get rid of "stuff" and put some money back in my pocket - WOO HOO!
I have straightened up and cleaned up around the house. Now I need to get dressed and run a couple of errands.
Hubby and I are going out this evening to buy a couple of presents for some of the kids in the family. Both sides of the family have agreed to buy for kids only.

I was up early, at work by 7:00 a.m., no wonder I'm tired. Just got back from going home for lunch and to let the dogs out. Tonight I need to do a load of towels, clean up the kitchen and continue to sew on Christmas gifts! I also need to pack up some to ship out Priority Mail tomorrow. I am not going to wait this long next year!

Did a load of laundry--folded and put away.
Washed up AM dishes.
Put dinner on in CP.
Set up DH's pills for the next two weeks.
Now....I am knitting....again. Working on a sweater for my grand-nephew.

I wouldn't call today Miserly, More like Mission Accomplished Monday for Me...
I got to sleep in... Almost 9am
I got up and did my workout, got the lil girl dressed and ready for school.
Drove her to school today, she likes it when Daddy walks her up to the front steps...
She was on time too
Then I finished some business up at the bank, and then to the local hardware store.
Laundry done,
Cleaned the kitchen and the laundry room
Took care of the cat, and now that all that's done.
Watch the news, and check the headlines, and look for good deals online....
Oh, wait, forgot about dinner, back to the grind again....
Plus I have an after dinner walk planned tonight...

Well I don't have much to do. I worked from 8-4, put a card in the mail for my DD & DS, took out a bag of trash. I have dishes from yesterday to put away. Dinner will be heating up leftover spaghetti, then dinner clean up. I guess I could put a load of clothes in the wash. I plan on doing some reading at bedtime and that's it for my day. Have a great evening everyone.

Quiet day for me. Adjusting to being back home and getting back into my groove. (Cut my visit short with the bf)
So far today I've taken my dad for a diagnostic appointment, window shopped and found a WONDERFUL travel mug as a gift oh and some chocolates for me - all hail the Almond Roca!Took my dad grocery shopping and came home to sort out bills and odd mail.
Just sitting back with my cup of tea and chillin here at the village and yes I'm having some of my delish Almond Roca's.
I think I will do laundry tonight - after 9pm when the hydro rates drop and work on sending out a few Christmas cards...wasn't really planning on sending any this year but figured why not. They're all local

Resolutions coming
Today was my first day of my new schedule. Interesting have the kids home from daycare. It was rainy so we stayed inside and they took long naps which I hadn't expected. Next time I will be ready to use the time wisely! I want to get back into frugality. I slipped quite a bit while working full time. What I did accomplish:
-cooked meals at home without resorting to convenience foods
-refrained from allowing the children (ages 1 & 2) screen time (no videos)
-caught up on laundry...almost
-spent no money
-arranged to donate our old car
-read lots of books to the kids, danced with them, made smoothies (full of spinach--sneaky mommy), played with boxes, made music
-smiled alot
And the day isn't over yet!
