It's a beautiful day here. Nice and sunny and cooler temps.

Today I need to drop a package at UPS and then put gas in the van. Dsisinlaw will be using it for a couple of days. THe other car is in use by out of towners, so we'll lend her ours until they leave.

I do have laundry to do and I need to clean the kitchen. dgd decided we were having pizza and I didn't get it all cleaned up. Just too tired.

We did get some more organizing done in the dining room. The house is starting to look a lot less cluttered. Oh yeah, I need to get some new cubby baskets for the living room. We decided we want them to all match instead of half cloth baskets and half plastic. It will look a little cleaner if we do that.

Need to get ds' room cleaned out. Everything from the computer area went in his room. We need to finish dumping and putting away that stuff.

Dinner tonight, not sure. Since we need to run this van up we may not have time for a dinner at home. May stop with dh's brother for a bite. I should have time to fix something here, but whether dh has time to eat is another story. If I do cook, it looks like pork chops again. We've been doing well with not eating out and eating more healthy.

7/29 Nice weather again. But a chance of rain later in the week.

It has been a busy few days. Ds came in for a visit. Will be here a week. We were running around trying to get everything cleaned up and ready for him. We got the carpet squares up in his room and cleaned the floor and then I got some throw rungs for his floor. Looked great.

But then I got sick. I had chills almost every night and then it hit big time on Saturday. I think I was just doing too much and not getting enough rest. I feel okay today, but I'm still week. Haven't really eaten much just trying to drink plenty of water. Slept til noon today. I was awake a few times this morning, but fell asleep again. It's what I needed. Not sure if it's the flu, stomach flu or food poisoning. I think I can rule out food poisoning, since no one else is sick.

Not sure what we'll do for dinner, I know I'm not up to cooking. It'll be fend for yourself or we'll get pizza or chicken.

8/12 It's going to be a hot one today.

I have a couple loads of laundry to fold and put away. I also need to iron one of dh's work shirts. He keeps a nice shirt at work for meetings.

I also need to run to the store for more fruit. It wasn't very good on Friday. Hopefully I'll find something at a different store.

Dh has to make an airport run. We have two family members leaving about the same time today.

I'll run dgd to her lesson tonight. Then will take dinner to her mommy and sister.

Stayed home today and no money spent. Spent day napping, balancing a months worth of checkbook. Will pay bills when headache lets up.

Would love to have an evening of TV and mindless drivel then early bed. So tired of not sleeping and knee pain. Ortho doctor the 20th.

Not such a miserly day today. I needed to get a few things for the chicken coop and a few groceries. I think my son went grocery shopping in my kitchen.

I finished rolling my coins last night and have almost $200. When it hits $200 I will put it in my savings account. If I cleaned the coins out of the cars I could probably do that tonight, but not when the heat index is over 100 outside. Its completely miserable here.

    Happy Monday, Friends!

I don't plan on spending any $ today - the only place I'll be going is this afternoon to take my Kyla (cat) back to the vet for her check-up after dental surgery 2 weeks ago.

What I do is to plan on making a crock pot full of vegetable soup (lots of zucchini in it due to my friend giving me two huge ones a week or so ago!)

The only other plan right now (for saving or not spending money, that is) is to look for a good and inexpensive recipe for a mock Fabreeze Fabric Spray ... I hate paying what they want for a bottle of it!

    Have a great week!

Doing laundry today since I didn't get to it on Saturday. I have lots to fold, like towels and sheets. Those are my least favorite.

I do need to go to the store to get milk. I used the last of it yesterday for dinner.

We'll take dgd to her swim lesson tonight. She goes two nights a week plus has karate two nights, so it gets a bit overwhelming. We take her just to help out. She really likes swimming. Dh needs to go pick up a few things for his parents house (mop, new toilet seat), so we'll probably do that. I have some rebates to use at one of the stores, so maybe I'll pick up toilet paper while we are there.

Dinner will either be leftovers or something from Mcd's. We get dgd something on the way home. She's usually very hungry.

Will be looking over the budget the next couple of days. Need to really crack down on the debt. We want it gone ASAP.

8/26 It's a rainy, gloomy, droozy day here. The dogs are all curled up asleep. One really doesn't like thunder, so she's being really quiet.

Since it's raining, I'll most likely stay in all day. I do need to put gas in the car, but since I'm not going anywhere, it can wait for another day.

I'll spend the day cleaning the kitchen. I just didn't feel like it last night. I need to clean out one of the cabinets to make room for the crockpot. I have more than one and this is the largest and I use it when I make potroast, but dh thinks I need to find a place for it in the kitchen and not downstairs. There are some things I can either throw away or move to the basement to make room.

I have laundry to fold and I should change the sheets on the bed and maybe wash some blankets, but I'm sure that will still be there a few days from now.

Ds is off work this week, so we won't have dgd. Ds will take her to her lessons, so that will save us some money since we won't stop off to get her food on the way home.

I'm not sure about dinner tonight, maybe blt's without the l! I used most of the lettuce for a salad yesterday and threw the rest out. Or maybe soup and grilled cheese. We'll see what we feel like when it's that time.

Not much going on here this Monday. I was going to finally go and visit my friend but then found she had something going on so that was out the window. Decided to run out to Walmart and though I spent about 60 bucks, I got some things I needed and then too, stocked up on some stuff for the coming winter. (I know, I don't want to think about it but eventually it'll be coming ... always does!)

Spending wise I did well ... the only thing I bought and really did not need was a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream but man, it was Pumpkin Cheesecake and how's a girl who loves both of those things supposed to resist? Obviously I didn't try very hard to either. Ha! Ha!

9/16 It's going to be a hot week and the yard needs to be taken care of. Dh and I have both been sick, dh worked all weekend, and just haven't felt up to doing much. Poor puppy doesn't like to potty outside, the grass is too high for him. Maybe we'll get to part of it today.

Since I'm still not feeling great, I'll probably just stay home and do some laundry. I can at least get it washed and dried, even if I don't get to folding it.

Dinner will be dirty rice. I picked up a couple of box mixes last week. It will be quick and easy.

I am feeling much better. Still have some nose issues. I'm thinking maybe a sinus infection. Tummy issues cleared up without having to have a million tests run. Not going back to that GI doctor.

I need to finish cleaning the kitchen today. Yesterday was a busy day and I didn't get it done. Tonight we maybe taking dgd to her lessons. She starts again today for 8 weeks. It's earlier than before, so we offered to take her. I have a load of laundry to fold and I need to run to the store for some things I didn't get on Friday. I didn't feel like doing a full shop, so I get to finish up this week.

Dinner tonight will probably be leftovers from yesterday. We'll probably take dgd to McDs. She's always so hungry after her lesson. I'm not going to get anything to eat there, but dh can if he wants.

Nice chilly, sunny day here in the midwest. I really should be outside working in the flower beds and getting them cleaned out. Maybe later this afternoon.

I do have some laundry I can do. The dogs have been rolling in something outside and two of them needed baths this weekend. One needed a bath twice. So I have lots of towels to be washed.

Dgd spent the night. I wish she could have stayed longer to help finish the Halloween decorations. She even asked this morning if we had any more to do. Her mom wanted her home early. I'm sure she'll come visit some time this week and we can finish up.

I am going to get the quilt squares together and start laying out her quilt. I want to get it done for Christmas. Her birthday is coming too quickly. I have her party planned and just waiting until next payday to purchase the supplies. She'll be so surprised.

I think today is just a day of piddling around the house. Do whatever I see.

Dinner tonight will be steak, rice or baked potatoes, and a Pioneer Woman broccoli dish I got for free.
