    Default Noodle Soup Mix

    Noodle Soup Mix


    Recipe Description
    Homemade version of Campbell's boxed ((Dry))
    chicken noodle soup
    Preparation Steps:
    Measure amount of ingredients needed.
    Mix and microwave.

    *note*
    Can adjust seasonings/spices to suit individual tastes
    Level of Difficulty:
    Easy
    Time Needed:
    approx. 10 mminutes
    Ingredients:
    *2 tablespoons chicken-flavored instant bouillon
    *1/8 tsp garlic powder
    *1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
    *1 tsp onion powder
    *tiny pinch tsp poultry seasoning
    *1/8 tsp black pepper
    *1/8 tsp dried thyme
    *4 oz. short vermicelli or tiny soup noodles
    Serves:
    2
    Directions:
    In a large microwave safe bowl, add all ingredients and 2 1/2 cups water.
    Stir well.
    Microwave on high for 8 minutes.
    Enjoy.
    *note*
    Can seal and label for future use.

    Mahalo - this is one of DD's favorite soups. Where do you get tiny soup noodles please?

    There's a couple of brands at most of our local grocery stores that I usually buy...relatively inexpensive also...usually 2/$1.00.

    ~One brand in the ethnic (Latino) sections of grocery store:
    Faraon brand
    Fideo Cortado Fino
    Vermicelli

    ~The other brand is also in the ethnic section (Latino) of the store:
    La Moderna
    100% Durum Semolina
    Vermicelli

    Both of these products look just like the noodles in the Campbell's dry soup mix. Very Yummy!!

    La Moderna is uber cheap - like 25 cents on sale here. They come in fun shapes too.

    Oh, I'm so making a bunch of these to put away in the freezer for the Fall/Winter months. I think I might even do some up with brown minute rice for DS2.

    It's so hard when I'm sick to make supper, this would be quick, easy and just perfect for when I'm feeling under the weather.
