    Vegetable Broth Mix-vegetarian


    Recipe Description
    This Savory broth mix can be used in rice, pasta, veggies, or in recipes.
    Preparation Steps:
    Gather spices, seasonings, and measuring spoons to be used.
    Level of Difficulty:
    Easy
    Time Needed:
    5-10 min.
    Ingredients:
    ~1 tbsp onion powder
    ~1 tbsp celery salt
    ~1 tbsp parsley flakes
    ~1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    ~1 1/2 tsp salt
    ~1/2 tsp ground savory
    ~1/2 tsp dried marjoram
    ~1/2 dried thyme
    ~1/4 tsp pepper
    ~1/4 tsp turmeric
    ~1/4 tsp ground sage
    Serves:Directions:
    ~Measure all ingredients into a container or zip top bag.
    ~Seal and shake to combine.
    ~Use as desired/to taste.

    thanks this looks good. I may skip the tumeric as well. I know it's good for you but have yet to learn to like it.

    Yes, It's good for you and also it gives the mixes and recipes a rich color...maybe you guys could leave it in, but maybe reduce the amount by a tiny bit. The other ingredients really do over power the taste of the turmeric.
    I've noticed in several of my dishes, you can't really taste it per se, but, if left out, you can tell a difference, but not a good one...tasted better with it in it...

    I've heard Turmeric takes on an eggy taste and that is not something I can handle.

    Hhhhhhmmmmm...well, I can honestly say we've never tasted an 'eggy' taste with turmeric...I guess everyone has different taste sensors or palettes...
