My daughter takes all my change and splits it between 2 change jars... one is for rides at the mall and one is for disney world. She had one for each at my house and one for each at my parents house.

We've decided not to use it, and keep it at home for a sort of mini EF. We call it our "bail money."

It is DDs Port Discovery membership or Aquarium, she gets a chance to pick, only one membership a year. My change jar does not include quarters. Quarters go to a different jar and they get deposited in the bank.

We've always used it for garage sale money, and charity.

I've been reading "Christmas Jars" and may do that this time, we'll see.

Ours goes into the savings. Although, it has been used to buy a new clothes dryer, better to dip into the change jar than the ef.

I put it in either checking or savings. DH often raids the piggy bank for quarters to wash his car.

I use little cash so get very little change. When I get enough for a roll or two of coins I just exchange them at the bank for currency and use it.
