Ran to the store today and spent $42.00. Got great deals thouugh. Got a free dozen eggs, free loaf of bread and free rolled pork sauage. I also got 3 fryer chickens for less than $9.00. Really cannot beat the deals.

I spent $112.37 today. We shouldn't need anything other than a gallon of milk before next payday.

Same deal here as for the Nov challenge: I'm working first on tracking my spending, since I've not really done that for a long time. It really hasn't been so hard -- what's been stopping me??

It does help that DH asked me to park the Visa/monitor spending for a while: his father passed away in Oct and we had humongous bills to pay since, among other things, not only did three of us have to travel out of state but we bought airline tickets for his sisters.

I'm doing pretty well this month, but I also don't have to buy anything for Thanksgiving. Next month will be the REAL challenge - I am responsible for Christmas dinner, and the family wants prime rib!!

So far I'm staying under budget for the month. I did add $4.49 yesterday on milk and potatoes.

Minner77, I have the same mental block about tracking my spending. I still haven't started a real budget, although I *suspect* that will be my new year's resolution!! On the few things I *do* track, such as my groceries, by tracking, I spend a LOT less!! So I suspect a budget, once I get the bugs out, will have the same effect on the rest of my spending. But I just can't seem to get....started....

Shoot, can't find my receipt from my last grocery trip. It was $111 and some change, so I'll go with $112.

We did our last grocery shop for the month yesterday and we spent $139.28. I came in under budget by $30.80. I hope to do better next month.

I'll probably go shopping tomorrow, but I don't expect to exceed my limit. Starting December, I drop my budget another $15/month!!
