I'm in! Have to empty the jar from last year and get it down to the bank this weekend first though. It will be interesting to find out how much was in it this time. The year before it netted about $275

I am in again for this year. I haven't got a separate total for last year but add it to my EF. I will do that again this year.

I stopped reporting my jar last year when I decided it was all going in my moving fund.

I will start tracking it separately again for this year, although it will still be included in my ticker total.

I'm so excited, I just asked dh if he would start dumping his change in my jar, since he never puts it back in his pocket. So mine will include his change (usually just quarters and lower, he'll use the bigger stuff), any leftover grocery money, and any cash I get from selling stuff, gifts, etc. So mine will have bills as well as coins.

I'll have to count it out so I can start fresh for the year.

I'm in also I have a coin sorting jar that keeps a running total just got this so not sure how much it holds will be fun to find out .So far for Jan. I have $30.90 I save my change for investing purposes.
Pennies I save all year in a big water jug when I counted them in Dec. I had $30.00 from 2009 the year before last I had $80.00.
Some people don't like pennies but they add up over time. The pennies go towards investing also. Great thread thanks.

I am in. I got one of those coin jars that keeps up with the total. I am not sure what I am saving for as of yet.

I'm starting at zero today, since most of what is in there was really from last year. Made a make-believe transfer of the existing amount into my moving fund in quicken and will update what I put in from this point on.

I'm in, cashed in my jars at the end of Dec and got $11.00 and some change. The cash went into my EF and the change back into the jar.

I am keeping 2 jars right now but will be splittng the quarters into a jar by themselves as soon as I can.

Am so happy - the shopping using cash (as opposed to check) has netted me some change this week!! I am still using 3 containers - quarters, dimes and nickels/pennies!! The goal is to not count anything until the container is full!! Hope we make it this year, some of the containers are large!! Guess that's part of the fun of this challenge!!
