~I'm in. This year I'm not going to count and roll all year long. I'm going to use a big, dark jug and save all year. The money will be for vacation fun money iin 2012.~

I'm in. We always save our change.
I think this year, I won't count it until around Nov.1 and use it for Xmas 2011!

I've decided to kind of cheat and just leave this year's change in the jar. I can't see it (ceramic jar), so I have no idea how much is in there, but I know the jar is less than half full. So I will just keep adding to it, and occasionally, I may even throw a bill in there, and I'll consider it my stocking fund for next Christmas, since I already have a Christmas account at the bank!

    Definitely joining this one.
I've got a little jar shapped like a apple that is totally full of dimes. Am currently hunting for wrappers so I can roll them up and see how much the jar actually holds. I've never gotten it full before.

I like the idea of a dark one you can't see into. I'd like to fill it all year and deposit it next December for Christmas.

I'm in! We have a fishbowl on DH's dresser that all the change (and the occasion $1 or $5 bill goes into . . . but once a month I go through it and empty it into the four big gallon pickle jars that I have hidden behind the bedroom door. I have found that it's easier to save if it's hidden -- and easier to roll at the end of the year when it's already divided

This year I'll count each addition and keep up with the totals.

I'm in too!! We have old green jars (made in Japan from coke bottles) with extremely thick rope tied around them - used as bumplers on boats originally - really neat - anyway - we are putting all change in there and will count it next year when DD comes home for Christmas!!

Those jars sound very cool, MM. I think I know what they look like.

Mad Hen, thanks for this idea. I too, have a bucket that is already full. I think I might just keep adding to it for Xmas 2011.

I am definitely in. I don't know what I'm saving for, but it will be a great surprise in December.

I found a dime by the sliding glass door and 36 cents on my dh's dresser. Into the jar it went.

I can't see into my jar either, but I'd say it's about half full. Off to a good start for the new year!

I am in, I always throw my change into a plastic crayon money bank. From Sept - Dec I saved over $400 in change, although we are slightly lucky our $1 and $2 are coins aswell so they get thrown in too. I am putting all my money towards a holiday to Cambodia in December.

I just can't seem to do this. If I have change, I try to use it to save a dollar. I use the dollars to fill my monthly envelopes. I do save my DS change. We started a bank when he was born (also added some of the money we got at showers). He will be 4 in a few days. He already has $425 in the bank and a piggy bank full that we need to cash out soon.
