    15 days for me.

I just don't want to miss out on any super fantastic after christmas on sale christmas stuff :nerd:
I cheated with this one. I checked on Christmas clearance while I was making my returns and bought any exceptional deals with my gift cards.

I will aim for 12 no spend days. This is my first month trying. I also have a birthday party, baby shower party, and my baby due in 5 weeks, so I fear we will be buying anything we don't get at the shower.

Agree. I'm in again. I think I'll do mine like the no eat out challenge and go for the 0/365 route.

Are there 2 of these challenges? One is "sticky" at the top and the other is not "Sticky" at the bottom...

I really shouldn't add another challenge but it is so important, so here I go again ... 15 days no spend

hoooo boy. Should I go per month or per year. The title alone scares me.

0/365 and I'm excluding bills or true groceries but I'll account for any out-to-eat or out-to-shop-cause-I'm-bored-so-I-bought-paper-towels days. hooo, the very thought of not spending is a challenge.

At the rate I'm spending this month (December), I should run out of things I can buy pretty soon!

I finally started a budget - my first real budget ever - so I am hoping keeping on track with it will help curb any extra spending I might be tempted to do. It is sobering when you put it all down on paper. Makes you want to turn the paper over to see if that is where all the "extra" money you don't seem to have is hidden!

I'm in! I just need to figure out a realistic amount of no spend days... We have at least 4 days a month that are just milk, beer and/or weekend newspaper runs! lol

I've come to these forums today with a purpose; I am looking for support and accountability. My husband and I have agreed on a plan that would allow me the luxury of having the option to quit my "punch the clock" job as of July of 2012 if we can meet some financial goals by that time. In order to have a chance a doing so, not only must I stay within in the budget (which I normally do), but I must reduce discretionary spending so that it is at least 10% below budget. I'm going to every challenge I think can help us meet this goal, and I would love some .

This being said, I am in on this one. Since I am new to this, I'll try for 10 and hope for 20 no spend days.

When you do this, do you pay as many bills as you can on one day?

Count me in, 20 no spend days in January.

Not really sure how this works. Is there a post that explains the concept? For example, today we'll go to church and will put money on the plate (budgeted for) but plan to spend nothing more all day. Is that a spend or no-spend day?
