Spend day yesterday as I needed gas, vitamins, groceries (including meat on sale) and a car expense ledger for my van.

    Day 3 ~ I spent

But in my defense - it's to finish all the jewelry projects that I have sitting on my work table to be completed. I have let them build up, until I was able to create a nice size order (to justify the shipping charges), and I just placed an on-line order with a wholesaler to get the much needed parts.

I have spent my first $39 of the year ($31 in parts, $8 in shipping)

Today will be a 'spend day' because I 'need' to get my nails done. It's a professional nursing 101 thing. However - here's the deal.

I've gotten 'gel' for the last year or so. requiring me dependence on returning to the girl. You can't get the gel off without a long soak and scraping etc.

I'm going to insist on getting a regular manicure today. They wickedly talk me into things I don't want. I end up spending $100 when I go there. It's ridiculous! $35 for gel mani. $25 pedi. $10 brows and a tip $30. I just don't have it anymore. Besides, I can do my own mani and pedi. FREE!

Last time I went, I was getting just a mani $35+tip $20. She insisted on putting a design on my french mani. I really don't like designs on the nails. but it didn't matter to her. I said. 'let me see how much I have first' I took my cash out of my wallet and began counting it. I got up to $70 and she grabbed it from my hand and said.. 'that's fine! " giggle giggle. and put it in her draw.

I was shocked. I'm not the type to say anything about it - but I thought really hard and am sure I there was $70 there. it cost me $70 for a manicure!!!!!!!!! arrrrgggggggg. I'm still recovering from it. lol

So, her loss. From now on - it's the cheap manicure (maybe I'll go in once per month to straighten up the poor job I did on my own) but it wil save me $155 per month cut that down to $25/month.

How's that for passive aggressive? lol

Today will be a spend day for me. I have to pick up dry-cleaning, meds for the dogs, and prescription skin cream for me, and get my hair cut. Since I am out and about, I'll probably pick up some supplies for my trip and more chicken breast to make up some jerky for the dogs while they are being boarded by my sister (so she doesn't feed them crap treats from China).

Tomorrow, I am taking the little dogs in to be micro-chipped, so another spend day. Then HOPING for a no-spend weekend, followed by twelve days of being in travel status, so being on per diem of $51/day!

Okay, I'm just now joining & I'm in for 12 days a month. So far I've not spent anything in January, and with today being a no spend day, I'm 3 out of 12. So far so good.
