Totaling 2015 and 2016 I have consistently been averaging $200/month. So 2017 challenge will be $190/month. It will actually be harder than that because I am also challenging myself to buy and donate items to the food bank monthly. So extra coupons and deals will be donated rather than stockpiled. This may be too complicated. We'll see if I can make it work.

I spent more than budgeted on groceries this year. DS lives here now, so that's one factor, plus I've done some stockpiling when I could find good deals. My plan is to eat out of the pantry/freezer the first few weeks of 2017, at least through January and possibly into February. I did that last year and it helped. But I still will buy up the deals when I can.

Haven't set a $ amount yet for next year yet.

ok last entry for me. Went the the groc. tonight. Spent $202.61. This will be counted for Jan. 2017. I saved $100. and have 24# of cheese and 4 milks, fruit, bread, and the cranberry juice blends. They were out of the Bertoli sauce except garlic and oil or something. Forgot to get a raincheck. I was insane in there. I live 1/4 mile away and almost walked home to park.lol

Hope everyone has a good New Years. We are hiding watching tv,playing cards and eats brats w/ peppers and onion. Party.lol
