$250 for 3 adults food only. Went way over again in October because I was able to go to an Aldi's and I stocked up. November shouldn't be too bad, I made my menu for the week and I already have everything I'll need. Then another week we'll be out of town so I'll only need to shop for 2wks. I can do this.

I have already spent $84 this month (including cleaning supplies today). Turkey is in the freezer for under $5 (sale $.39/lb). I found several muffin recipes to make for breakfast and have plenty of baking supplies on hand. Will see how I do for the rest of the month.

I am under budget and plan to stop at CVS this week for a couple of sale items. It won't be too much.

think I have given up on actually keeping a record ..just general because when from $600 or so a month to $800 with pet and household stuff. Granted stocking up on deals too is part of it. kids turning into teens is the main reason so eating machines. and all the prices going up.

I scored 5 free large pumpkins. I will be cooking them (probably start this weekend) and making various things. I have a lot of pumpkin recipes that I like very much.

November was OK grocery-wise, big bills in other areas. Keeping same for December. I want to do some baking and we are invited to cookie exchange on Dec 7. Biscotti might work and they are pretty easy really.

Been awhile since I posted. I don't know what I ended up doing in October after that post. I DID keep Novembers receipts though. Going to catch Nov up in the various threads and then hopefully go back to posting more regular. I always do better when I do that

Novembers total appears to come out to $374.67. That was with some extra stuff for the holiday when oldest daughter came from Tennessee right before Thanksgiving so I'm not going to beat myself up for it. Yes it was more than I wanted but extra in there too plus the prescription food for Sophie furbaby and I had ran out of stockpile food for Lucy furbaby. Good thing they only weigh 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 pounds. On the good side of that I did pretty much planned trips and for the most part stuck to the lists... pretty much. Between sales and coupons I "saved" $175.81.
So in NOvember I got about $550.48 worth of groceries/hba/cleaning/pet/otc meds etc for $374.67.

I think I'm going to raise the budget to $300 from the $250.00. Having pet in there makes it hard to keep it that low. Not to mention crap just plain down right higher then it used to be when the $200 goal was made. So budget for December at least is $300 and go from there. I also have that list of stockpile items I want to build before he retires and we're on limited fixed Social Security income. Having that build up will help with the transition
