Default My lease was terminated !

I've had the same apartment for over 12 years. A couple of weeks ago my landlord terminated mine along with everyone else in the building's lease. I have to be out my May 11th. They are renovating the apartments I got a phone call to look at a place today. Its $850 a month ( my current is $670) It does include a washer and dryer and my current one doesn't. Also, its still in the area where I presently am now and I am still close to work.

I could pick up a part time gig somehow maybe? I don't know what do you think.
PS, I have to admit, where I llve DOES need renovating

Wow! $180 a month more. Is a part time job easy to get where you live? Do you think you could handle it? Meaning I remember you had some health issues awhile back. I guess you wouldn't have to work a ton of hours if it's just for the difference. You would save a little by having the washer and dryer.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

ok so assuming the washer/dryer and no drive to laundry saves $40.? a month. That $140. now. Maybe its better insulated so heating will be less? You could prob get gigs here and there. Can you cut lawns. This guy around here owns the whole neighborhood practically business-wise I would be concerned about constant increases.

Can you afford the constant increases year to year? I found while living in apartments that almost every year the rent went up.

I was lucky with my present apartment. it never went up that much.
Anyway I found the place I was talking about and looked at it myself. I am not going to take the apartment.

I see you are in Charlottesville. Maybe something will open up in May when the college lets out? Maybe you can call and get on a wait list in the right neighborhood? Does the college have house-hunting board you can use a resource? Good luck.

I know it sucks. I found something slightly cheaper. I am sure I could handle something a day or so a week. We'll see once I get a place. Thank you
