    I've never done the challenge before. I think I'll track what I spend this month and report back at the end of the month. April will see some cutbacks!

    I made my first trip of the month today. Total before coupons/sales was $58. They took off $28 in coupons/sales so my out of pocket was $30! I have $70 left for the month but I only took $50 out of the bank. I'd like to see if I can make it and put the extra $20 towards debt. It should be possible because I won't be going to the store for a couple weeks once the baby comes. I'll just send DH with enough $$ for milk, eggs, and bread.

    Hello I'm new, and am very interested in saving on the grocery bill. Do you have any articles or helpful tips for me? I only have to buy for my husband and me, and a very fat cat. My husband loves his cookies, chips and junk...I try not to eat very much junk, and love cooking stir-fry, salads, soups. We probably spend $250 or so a month on a big shopping trip......but then I go back each week and spend about 30-40 more. Can you help me? and what do you gals and Guys do ?

    So far for the month I am at 98.60. I DID buy some things that I normally would not have though... But other than milk, bread and a bit of fresh produce, I probably have enough in the house to not spend anything more for 2 weeks or so. Today at the Eagle, I scored 3 free tubes of toothpaste and 2 toothbrushes free with coupons. Also got Mini Wheats for 1.89 and the final coupon for the free DVD offer. Scrubbing bubbles, which I just cant live without, cost 1.00 after my coupons so I grabbed three of those. DH and I are driving to Cleveland to see a show with DGD then driving back late in the evening so I picked up some sandwich fixings and chips to eat in the car while we drive. Cheaper and healthier than fast food even though I normally would not have bought them.

    I think I am going to try to NOT spend anything more this week and next week limit myself to the necessities only.

    Mental Goals
    Learn to perform one task on Smartphone or use one new application on phone
    Focus on learning product functionality at work


    Every little tiny bit helps to get rid of that debt

    Yesterday I spent $7.92 at Aldi's buying produce for pizza and salad fixings. We had family over today.
    Tomorrow will be the big test... the first big grocery shopping event for the week. I've made a menu and a list... now I hope I can stick to it!!

    I have never kept track of grocery money so have no idea what to set it at. Will just be very careful and see what I spend and then maybe after that aim for a bit lower every month. So far this month have spent $22.12.

    The last 2 months I went over my $300 budget by at least $60 so Im setting it for $350 this month...we'll see how it goes

    Bought some more stuff. $41.51-$4 in rebates. My coupon savings = $63.63. I love coupons.

    I added another 60 odd dollars with the big grocry shopping list for the week. I have been really good in recent months about not going back to the store after the weekly shopping. I needed to add a few things to my pantry, so I am hoping next week will be smaller!

    Meat and spinach were on sale this past week. I picked up lots...stockpiling. That put me back $100. So $100 left till the end of March! Let's see if I can do it!

    Okay, we did our first shop for March yesterday. We did very well. I won't post everything we got because it's a long list, because I stockpiled some foods that I'll be needing in the month ahead, and they were on sale, however, I will show you some of the highlights!

    2 loaves of WonderKids bread for $0.09 each!
    4 bottles of L'Oreal Kids shampoo and conditioner FREE!!!
    3 boxes of PopSecret Light Butter popcorn $0.53 each!
    3 boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese mix $0.33 each!

    The original cost of this shopping trip was $125.70.
    After coupons, sales, $10 in baby bucks, $5.00 in Amex rewards, and a $6.00 catalina coupon from last trip, our total was...
    $72.11!

    Feeling pretty good and well-stocked for March. Next week, unless there are some great sales to match my coupons, I think I'll just be buying milk and yogurt. Rob will be on a business trip, so we'll be having lots of breakfast foods for dinner, and I can make those from what I have in the fridge and pantry already! Kids will be thrilled and we'll be saving money!

    Bought $25 worth of groceries last night. Should see us through till payday. Company arriving tomorrow though. We'll see what happens...I think we're feeding a teen boy supper for the week.

    So $100 +$25 = $125
    $200 - $125 = $75 left for the month

    This is going to be interesting to see if I can do this.

    Holding steady at $34. Couldn't believe the bill came out to exactly that! Makes it easy to remember! I will have to cave in and go shopping again within a day or two, though. I set my limit at $200 for the month.
