I'm in for $250...normally it's $225, but I have 5 weekly shopping trips this month instead of 4.

Ugh after my February Whole Foods fiasco, its time to get back on the challenge for March. I'm in for $350.

Must remember..stay out of Whole Foods, stay out of Whole Foods, stay out of Whole Foods...let that be my mantra for the month.

I am in for $75 or less .... my freezer is stocked and so is my pantry so I would assume less than that but who knows.

Good golly lady! I don't know how you do it, but I wish you would come to my house and teach me.

I should probably add that my $250 is for food only. Not counting anything else for the house.

PS: 3-boys, I know we are on budgets but please don't eat the baby. (ha ha.)

I hope you will love it here as much as I do.

Welcome Autumn1102! You'll love it here!

I'm in for $100 this month. Sounds extreme, I know, for 4 people and two dogs. But I have quite a stockpile and a half-full freezer that absolutely need to get used up. So aside from dog food and perishables, $100 it is!

    I spent $50.00 today on:

    milk (2 gal)
    eggs
5-8 oz bags of shredded cheese
    ramen noodles (2 cases)
    tilapia
    4 strip steaks
    3 boxes mac and cheese
    hot dogs
    potatoes obrien
    beans
    frozen veges (3 bags)
    2 lbs butter

Wow looking at this list that's pretty good for $50.00! No coupons either just price plus and sales prices. I didn't have coupons for these items anyway.

Well, I need to do the grocery challenge. We went over our budget last month by eatting out with friends when we didn't expect to.

Our budget this month is 500.00 Yes, that's a lot for a family of 4. We also stock up on items for our food storage and this is the time of the year when I buy some bulk items to use for the rest of the year. Hope that's ok with you all?

Haven't spent anything yet this month. Just cleaned the refrig and am making a big veggie soup in the crock pot and homemade bread for dinner. Now I have a grocery list for tomorrow. Monday will be a big bulk order from the Cannery.

    Wish me luck.

I'm in for $200 - $150 of that is for "grocery" groceries, and the other $50 is for gardening supplies - seeds, etc. That falls under our grocery budget, as we eat the veggies

Did my grocery shopping for the beginning of the month today and spent $109 between Aldis, Walmart, Dollar General & Food Lion. Yesterday DH went out and picked up bread, milk & chips while I was sick for $6 - so am at $115 for the month already. Should be good for awhile though.

Okay, I'm in for my first grocery challenge. I'll say $450, including diapers for the two babies, and everything else.

I think I've got to break the habit of going to the grocery store every weekend and try to make the food stretch longer between trips. I have no willpower!

So it is only the 3rd of March and I have already spent $25.00 on things I forgot.
Oh well.. I took out cash for groceries for the next 2 weeks. That seems to help me stay on track!
    Happy shopping all.

First purchase for March. Spent $11 (I always round amounts up) on bread, bananas, oranges, grapes, and a gallon of Milo's tea w/Splenda (our non-frugal indulgence)
