    Default 2014 Knitting Nook

I am ashamed of the knitters in this group. No 2014 thread and here it is, almost November? Tsk tsk.

Hey madhen, good to see you back. I thought of you this fall when we were on vacation. We stopped in a gift shop &'saw beautiful hand knitted socks. I can 't remember the name of the artist- yes it really was art. They were gorgeous & appropriately expensive & I thought of your posts over the years of knitting socks.

Just finished a sock last night. Not sure about gorgeous and expensive, but I liked how it turned out.

Gorgeous! Do you try to make two socks that match, or do you mix them up?

I like it when they match, but I don't waste a bunch of yarn to make it happen. In this case, the second sock is pretty close, but more by accident than design.

They look great! Wish I was a good knitter. If I started to knit a pair of socks like that they would fit the jolly green giant. Lol Am a very loose knitter
