Hallo from Denmark
Hi,
I'm a mid 20-year-old from Denmark living with my boyfriend in his house. The house will need renovation this year. My boyfriend has a well payed job, but he just told me today some people might be fired. He doesn't know more at the moment, and it could just be a rumor.
I'm a student and education is free in Denmark. Students are also paid about $850 after (high) tax from the state for a limited time. Wages and prices are high in Denmark so this money doesn't go a long way. I know we are lucky compared to most other countries. Because of delays due to illness I might run out of this money before i finish my education. This illness might also make it difficult for me to find a job, so I'm a bit worried about my and our future.

Hello!
My grandfather was from Denmark, and my mother just visited there in September!
I'm also having my students read an article about your controversial law about confiscating the valuables from refugees coming into the country right now. Interesting times in which we live!

I hope she enjoyed her stay.
OMG. I find the new laws embarrassingThey do everything they can to keep refuges out of the country. "Stay away"-adverting in Arabic newspapers, tent camps in the cold winter even though there are empty rooms in centers for refuges that the government already paid for.
There's lots of debate in Denmark. A lot of people don't agree with them, but that's kinda what we could expect after the election last year, where the Danish Peoples Party (right wing - hate Muslims) got a lot of votes
A Danish center-left wing newspaper made this drawing of the minister of integration in December. Danish flags on Christmas trees are an old tradition mostly used in southern Jutland. It was part of Germany from 1864 until after the first world war. When they became part of Denmark again and was allowed to use the Danish flag they decorated their Christmas trees with flags. The Danish flag is also used in the logo of the Danish Peoples Party.

My boyfriend had a meeting with his boss and got a pay rise, he didn't expect at all. He has only worked there half a year, but the boss is really pleased with his work.
