We will eat black-eyed peas for luck and probably babysit our two grandsons, play games and maybe watch fireworks if the weather cooperates.

I have to work that day, but will be staying home at night. I will be in my jammies eating popcorn for dinner probably watching movies. Most likely I'll fall asleep before midnight.

I'll be out with my best friend. We'll be eating out, watching the fireworks at the beach, my first adult New Year's Eve in about ten years.

We are going to the hockey game, it's an early game, so it will be over around 8pm. We'll probably go out to eat and then come home and watch the ball drop and then wait for midnight. Usually I fall asleep right after midnight.

We have Diva again this year and she has requested "A New Years Eve like last one because it was the bestest ever!"

Who am I to say no?

The Old Man is working 12/31, and of course, no idea when he will be out. (He did take 1/1 off, so MAYBE I can get him to stay awake )

We will have our New Years Tiaras and special flutes, dress in our jammies, watch movies (and the Boston Pops during commercials until before the ball drops) and party

    On the grazing menu:
    home-made pizza
    cheese, fruit and cracker platter
    hot appetizers
    sparkling juice

I'll figure out more as we get closer

Appetizers, cocktails and games at my mom's. Usually she'll keep the kids over night because our neighbors get rowdy.

Will be partying with friends at one of their homes...staying far away from the crazy drunks out on the roads.

Not sure which kids, if any, have plans to go any place. DH and I usually stay home, open a few bottles of sparkling cider for everyone at the house and watch the fireworks from the back deck. We usually put the GKs to bed after the fireworks and go to bed ourselves. The next day I make a big breakfast and start our cabbage and black eyed peas.

DH, DD and I have already decided that we will be staying home together to ring in the new year. We haven't decided if it will just be us or if it will also be our neices.

I have thought about inviting over some other friends of ours with small kids to hang out and do an early NYE celebration. That way we can still have a little grown up interaction but the kids could still be in bed by a reasonable hour. We'll have to see what everyone else is up to.

Sadly we are one of the only couples in our group of friends that doesn't just ship their kids off to go out and party.

My mom always has the black-eyed peas for luck. We always have corned beef and cabbage for dinner on New Year's Day.

We're having cocktails and snacks here at the house. It's too cold to go out this year.

Vodka slimes for DH and I will be drinking white wine. We have cheese, crackers, a shrimp ring and leftover cookies from Christmas.

DH and I will be at home for the New Year's celebration for the first time in almost 25 years!! We usually are on Oahu celebrating with his sister, her amily and friends. Think it will be a lovely quiet evening at home. He's cooking steaks, probably will have wine with it. Looking forward to a peaceful evening. Hope we make it til midnight!! If not, we will enjoy all the celebrations as they spread around the world. We are the last time zone to celebrate!!
