We normally just stay home, but this year we were invited to a party and to a bar to hear a good friend play in his band. I think we are gonna do both. Our girls are going skating so we should be able to do both things and still pick them up at 1:00 am. I am kind of looking forward to it.

We usually just have snacks and sparkling grape juice for the kids and champagne for dh and I and then we all watch the ball drop together. Then we go to bed. The kids dig it!

Was invited to a friends house. But decided to just stay home. Already know I will probably be in bed before the ball drops.

I will be with them on Sunday so I will celebrate then.

A small barbeque, some football and then watching the festivities at my son's house. The weather is good, so there will be lots of fireworks to watch. Peace to all.

Sounds like an awesome New Years! I could take or leave the football though.

Evening with the kids here my MIL offered to babysit or let us go to a hotel and she would pay for it but I would rather have some snacks, watch some movies, play some games, and kiss the people I love best at midnight

Dh doesn't feel like going to his brothers house tonight because he has to be at work early in the morning. Don't blame him and don't care. I'm happy at home with some wine and watching the ball drop with Anderson Cooper.

But after reading Druths plans, a gin and tonic sounds better.

Happy New Year everyone and stay safe!

    Everyone stay safe out there.

I am staying home recovering from sinus and ear infection.....probably won't even have a toddy as I am on drugs to recover.

Spent the evening tidying up the house so nothing has to be done on the day of - tradition here to not clean or sweep away your good luck for the new year

Dad watched his variety shows ring in the New Years round the world. DF and I watched the tv marathons of different series. Just before midnight here we called friends and family to send best wishes and I began to cook up the midnight feast: hors doeuvres: pot stickers, spring rolls, pork/chicken bites, veggies w/spinach dip, cheese & meat tray, chips & salsa and whatever else etc. Topped off with beers.

Was a nice night staying up late ringing in the New Year together however going to bed late and bolting awake 4-5 hours later is not fun DF is still sleeping, bless his heart with all the pain he's in with his ankle.

We were home by 11. Hubs just isn't a fan of being in bars. He can tolerate it when it's just a few people, but there was a big rush and the hole in the wall joint we were in got very crowded. I told my friend Jessica, "Give it 10 minutes and Zac's going to want to leave." He made it 4.
