Default What's everyone doing for New Years???

Ok Now that Christmas is over. What's everyone doing for New Years?
We are just staying home, cause I hate to be out with all the drunks. But our friends said they might have a little party & want us to come down. The kids are driving up to Seven Spring ski lodge & going tubeing. Seven Spring is not to far from our house just like 20 miles.

We are going to the Cotton Bowl New Year's Day to watch LSU Tigers and Texas Longhorns play. DH is a BIG LSU Tiger fan. He is from Louisiana and would cheer for nothing but LSU!! So, when he found out they were playing this close to home he had to have tickets.

Not to frugal ... $75 a ticket for 5 of us, plus $15 parking pass. Not counting trips to the snack bar....ugh! What was I thinking?? But it should be fun.

My dh always has to work, so I will stay at home. He works New Years Eve and Day so he doesn't feel guilty about taking off Christmas Eve. I would much prefer to have him around on Christmas Eve.

We'll spend it at home watching movies and snacking. We don't like to get out with the drunks either. We get so busy sometimes, it's nice to have a quiet evening at home.

We spend it at home, not to much to do here..... I am not a partier... We'll have our traditional pork chops, cabbage and black eyed peas...... watch movies and let the kids have some party poppers and noise makers (Early) ......

We will be spending it quietly at home. We live 25 miles from the nearest town with any type of festivities and we are like the rest of y'all and prefer not to be on the road with the drunks.

DD will be staying home with us but DS will be staying in town at my Mom's and spending the evening with friends.

    Blessings and Happy New Years,
    Kathy

OUr boys will have several friends over for an all night computer gaming fest.

Others will drop by on and off through the night. They will all pitch in for pizza, and we will have dinner on trays in our room, may go out for dinner, not sure.

Then back home to watch TV and read and be thankful the guys are all at our house and safe.

We occassionally go to party's, but for the life of me I can't understand why everyone kisses everyone else....and I have had some not so innocent kisses! ..ICK!!

Dh and I will probably rent a movie or two and watch them and eat popcorn. Then, I'll fall asleep and he'll wake me up to watch the ball drop. It's just a neverending party over here, can't you tell?
