What is the best slicer/mandoline?
I guess the next thing I need in my dehydrating journey is some kind of slicer or mandoline (?) slicer. What kind do you have? What would you recommend? (I'd like to get something good but not too expensive.)

I have a Pampered Chef slicer. It works really well. I do find that a lot of times I end up just slicing things with a knife instead of taking the time to pull it out. I have to be doing a lot of stuff at once.

Haven't found it yet. I am on the same quest as you. I bought a food processor, it is good for some things, but not others. I just bought and returned a 40.00 xoxo brand. It was okay not as easy as I thought it would be. I saw on at walmart fot 10.00 I thnk I will give that one a try.
I want to hear what others like also.Last edited by jas; 04-30-2009 at 11:32 AM.

I KNOW my husband bought a high end mandoline several years ago. NOW that I want to use it, I can not find it anywhere. And of course he doesn't know where it is either.
