Not with LL out of the state, that's for sure. She's extremely thrifty. She comes up with ways to save money I would have never even thought about, and I used to think I knew a lot about saving money.

Idaho Falls is the city with that really high bridge, right? I remember standing on that bridge and looking at some toy-sized (it seemed that way anyway) kayakers down below on the river, and thinking that's how deep our water well is here. It was quite something.

In American Falls I found prickly pear cactus at a grocery store and was intrigued, but too shy to ask random strangers how to cook prickly pear cactus. Which was weird because normally I'm chatty. I've heard of making jelly with it but that's all. American Falls seemed suspicious of us and I'm not sure why. Probably because it was a small town and not a tourist town, so they probably wondered why we were there and if we were trouble of some kind. Who, us?

SD - That's Twin Falls. We watched some guys base jump off that bridge. Your well is that deep??? Holy Cow!

American Falls....is that where those "touristy" water fall/rapids are at?

I sure miss the mountains however the swamp has it's own beauty.

I thought that was Twin Falls. I forget now. That was a whirlwind trip and it's hard to keep it all straight five years later. That was the trip we took to visit different towns we thought we might want to retire to, and we didn't get to spend much time anywhere. We loved Massacre Rocks State Park in Idaho though. I think we had the best site in the park.

I think this pic ended up on a magazine cover, come to think of it. It was a great shot if I say so myself.

I miss the mountains too, even though we haven't spent much time there. But we decided we'd miss the lakes a lot more. We'll always love traveling in the mountain west though.

We just returned to Idaho (Boise) after 10 years in the Portland, OR area. It's nice to be home.
