    Smile My newest family member

I'm very happy to introduce our new 8 week old puppy: Bailey Belle. I thought after losing my beloved Willow Woo at the end of August I would never feel good again, never be opened to another fur-family member. But sometimes a higher power says different. Bailey was born around the time that Willow's health was failing. Her circumstances weren't too great (she came to me covered in fleas and with a gut full of worms living in a home with an owner who loved her 5 dogs dearly but clearly cannot afford to care for them). She's had her first round of shots, is on a dewormer and heart guard...vet felt she was too small/young for frontline, so she is stinky in her garlic and lavender oil wash, but it's been a long time since I've seen a live flea (fingers crossed this works until she can get on frontline). She seems to be a happy and spunky girl and a wonderful addition to our still grieving (but getting better) family.

Thanks! We think she's quite the cutie too. Her mom is 1/2 dachshund and 1/2 chihuahua, her dad is a terrier mix, we're not sure but think Cairn Terrior falls in there somewhere-- he looks just like Toto from wizard of oz...so we're just calling her a dachshund, chihuahua terrier mix.

Unfortunately the others have not found better homes. There is mom and dad and 3 pups...well now they have 2 pups as I have one. I work a full 8 hour day outside the house and didn't want to burden my aging and sometimes ill mom with 2 puppies to care for when I am at work, so I only got the one, but we're talking to the family DAILY encouraging them to give up the other 2 puppies, and then get Mom and Dad fixed. It is really quite sad as I know she loves her dogs, and has just fallen on hard times healthwise and financially but vaccinations, dewormers, and flea and tick meds are just NOT optional things when you have fur-family.

Awwww....precious. I think I predicted it? This is great! Just great!! A dog lover's heart is too big to be empty of the love of a dog.

It sounds like you need each other.

Nothing helps fill the hole in your heart after the loss of a beloved doggy like a new puppy.

She looks like a little sweetheart, one that you could cuddle all day.

    Congratulations. She is a cutie.
And as far as your neighbor-there are free spay and neuter groups out there esp. for seniors. Also places like pet supplies plus has vaccination clinics at substantially lower prices. Nudge them.
As far as fleas and puppies-tweezers are a great temp. non poison solution.

I am so glad you found another guy. And your stronger than me I'd have them all!lol.
