I just got my first dslr so I have been shooting just about any and everything,lol.

i want a dslr, i cant afford it at the moment though. i did get a used canon a590 the other day that i love.
i've been taking pictures of the food i've been making. i'm trying to multitask on that one.

What did you buy??? I'm taking a college class starting next month and have to buy a camera soon. I've been saving like crazy for it. I'm looking at a canon XSI.

I've got a Canon Rebel XT and I'm looking at a Nikon 60D to switch. I take photos all the time. Right now I've been focusing on taking the kids photos.

We took DH's 5700 Nikon out to the park and boardwalk. Park had planted a big semi circle of mammoth sunflowers. Just beauitful! Yes, they are six feet tall and in bloom here.
The heads were covered with honeybees. If you stood still you could hear them buzzing. Then off the boardwalk the roseatted (sp) spoonbills were feeding. Absoutly beauitful!! Just one of those fun no spend days.

Well I saved up and purchased the Canon rebel XSI at Costco last week. It came with two lenses. It's a great camera. I took it to our house at the mountains and got some great shots down at the river. I start my class next Wednesday. I can't wait.

okay I just could not spend a ton on a new camera so I scoped out ebay and got a Rebel XT with some extras in like new condition for $340!

As for switching from Canon to Nikon I am a Canon fan. I would invest money in new lenses before switching!

Now that spring is springing, I'm shooting a bit more...sorry to say that wintertime just isn't as inspiring once I get a few snow n ice shots!!

I've been shooting flowers n clouds n the dogs...stuff of life.

I'd love to see some of y'all's shots...do you have flickr or such accounts we can share links to? I have flickr...
