I just bake them with old bay seasoning -- yummy! I'm going to try a few of these other ideas too!

I'm waiting til after halloween to try to get a few 'unsold' pumpkins for recipes

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas/recipes for pumpkin seeds? I use to eat roasted pumpkin seeds as a kid and I just bought my daughter a pumpkin ( On sale for $1!!) for Halloween an wanted to try my hand on making some... Any ideas?

I do an in-home preschool a few times a week and we did this last week!

    It was delicious:

It's a mix of cinnamon and salt! YUM! It's super good - just make sure you watch it so it doesn't burn at the bottom....stir regularly

I made them for the first time 2 days ago after we carved pumpkins.

My mom always just spead them out on a cookie sheet, sprinkled w/ salt & baked. Or do you mean recipes that include the seeds as an ingredient? No ideas there.

After doing a little internet research, pumpkin seeds are also called pepitas. A pepita is a Mexican preparation for pumpkin seeds. They can be hulled or not, roasted or not, and salted or not. (Feel free to research google for more info!)

I went to my favourite site which is www.meals.com and typed in "pumpkin seeds" and "pepitas" and this is what it came up with. Here's a link with some recipes that may help! http://www.meals.com/Meals-Tools/Rec...=7&dir=False#1

Thanks for the tips. I am saving all of the seeds form the squashes I bought this fall to roast. I assume I can use the same recipes since they are related to pumpkins.
