Thumbs up Pumpkin Chocolate Chip "Brownies"

    Pumpkin Chocolate Chip "Brownies"

    From Weightwatchers.com
    Serves: 24
    Points: 3

1 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
    15 oz canned pumpkin
    2 large egg(s)
    4 items egg white(s)
    4 tbsp vegetable oil
    2 cup all-purpose flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    2 tsp unsweetened cocoa
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp table salt
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Instructions

Mix brown sugar, pumpkin, eggs and oil.

Add flour, baking powder, cocoa, cinnamon, allspice, salt and nutmeg. Stir all well.

    Stir in choc chips.

Spread in pan 13" x 9", bake for 40 minutes.

These are really good. I left out the allspice and nutmeg (I'm not a fan of either), and they're still delicious.

This recipe will never replace my chocolate fudge brownie cravings, but it's good for when I want something sweet.

Those sound heavenly Michelle! I can't wait to try them. I have a question though-when it calls for 4 items egg whites, does it just mean 4 egg whites?

Yes, just 4 egg whites. I'm not sure why they write it that way.
