Default Pumpkin Tea Bread (FOR YOUR CROCK POT)

    1/2 cup oil
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 cup solid pack pumpkin
    1-1/2 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup nuts, chopped
1/2 cup dates or raisins, chopped

In a large bowl combine the oil and sugars. Blend well. Add the eggs and
pumpkin. Mix well. In another bowl sift together the dry ingredients. Add to
the pumpkin mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts and dates. Pour the mixture into
a well greased and floured 2-pound coffee can. Place in crock pot, and turn
to HIGH. Cover the can with 5 paper towels and put lid on. Bake for 3 to 4
hours. Crock pots vary so check after 2-1/2 hours.
