I'm a newbie quilter too and am preparing to making my first quilt. Well, actually I made a baby quilt once before, several years ago, no pattern, no instructions....this was pre-internet and all.....just planned how I wanted it to look on a piece of graph paper, cut out the fabric and sewed it together. It turned out really good for someone who had absolutely no clue what they were doing! This time around I plan to get a clue...I am very excited about learning to quilt the right way instead of just winging it like I did before.

Look forward to projects and challenges.

THANKS for the Welcome. As far as what I am working on, not much. I have a 6 year old and a (kind of) special needs 3 year old. She is delayed in her speech, so we have a hard time figuring out what she wants. She often times gets frustrated with us. But thats another subject.

I just most recently finished 4 fleece blankets. This is the first time I have really worked with fleece. DS is in Cub Scouts and someone told me about a fleece panel that was in honor of 100 years of Boy Scouts. I was asked to make a couple of blankets (just put a back on the panel basically) to be raffled off at the Holiday Party. So, two blankets for that and of course I had to make one for my own Cub Scout, oh and don't forget DD. Hers was just made with some purple fleece.

Actually, thats more sewing then I have done in the last several months.
