Sharing a challenge quilt I made with 2 friends
Thought you might all want to see this. I am very proud of it and although it isn't quilted yet (too hot), this is the completed top.
Its is a design found in McCalls magazine for 12 months of last year.

I found it!! I guess I didn't look far enough the first time I looked to see ify ou had posted the pic.
I agree with Kahana, it is more beautiful than I remembered from the first time I saw the pic.

Mommy2two - this quilt didn't cost a lot. I used fat quarters (pieces of material 18 x 22 inches) for most of it along with scraps that I have from other quilts.
The batting was $7.49 and the backing I'll watch for on sale at Walmart or if I can find a set of sheets made of 100% cotton, I'll use the top sheet for the quilt. (Your not suppose to but I have with great results.)
I had all the supplies for quilting already so that it doesn't cost me all that much when I quilt. Its getting the beginning supplies but once you have them, your set.
btw - you don't need everything I have to begin quilting. You need a good pair of scissors, material, thread, needle and you don't even need a sewing machine if you want to quilt the whole quilt by hand.
I also try to get my fat quarters when they are 3 for something, or B2G1F when I can.
