Sister rant....short, but intense (cleaned up for general viewing) :)
My sister is driving me crazy! She's trying to keep me from coming up there, for some reason. She won't even let me talk to my mother. I know it's because her lazy, good for nothing son doesn't want me staying at my mother's place with him, and I don't care! Now she wants me to wait until Tuesday, which is fine, but I'm going Tuesday, and if she doesn't like it, she can go to haedes!
Sorry, had to vent.

I wouldn't let her stand in your way, if you want to go up earlier I would. Good luck!

You need to go see your mom! Don't let anything stand in your way...this is meant to be.

Thanks, Marie. I'm going, and they can't stop me, but I'm tired of her hatefulness. I try to be nice to her because I know she's tired and stressed, but she's just a B*****!!!!!
Well, maybe it will be better once I get there and she sees I really won't be a bother to her. She's such a control freak!
The bad part is, I've asked for FMLA leave, so I have to go there and have my mom's doctor sign something so it will be approved, otherwise I could lose my job! She's telling me that my mother is talking out of her head, which may be true, but it may be that she doesn't want me to believe what my mom tells me about her and her son.
I wish with all my heart I could just get my mom down here to live.Last edited by Jaded; 08-12-2007 at 01:24 PM.

You need to get up there and find out what the *(*^ is going on! I would leave earlier than expected, and just "show up"! Then they wouldn't have time to cover anything up!

Unfortunately, I can't leave until tomorrow, because I have to get my cat some tranquilizers from the vet, since I'll have to take her with me. Probably have to take the birds too. What a hassle! And all this is costing me two weeks pay!

Go as soon as you can. And if possible make a quick surprise visit afterward as well. I would be concerned if anyone would not let me speak to my mom. I dont know your family or situation of course, but that just sets off alarms with me. Abusive situations begin with control and isolation. Better to be over protective in any case. Good luck and travel safely

I'm glad you're going. If the picture really IS as your sister has painted it, it may help provide some healing to both of you. If it is NOT, then your mom may really need your help! Either way, something good comes from it. And there is a middle ground, where potentially your sister may misunderstand some things from your mom, and honestly THINK she's losing it, and you might be able to clarify things. Anyway, wishing you well, and praying for all concerned.
