    Smile Roll Call

We have a lot of new members...let's do a roll call.

Tell me how long you've been scrapping, how often you are able to scrap, and your favorite style of scrapbooking.

I'll start. I have been scrapping on and off for around 3 yrs now. I seem to like collecting the supplies more than actually making pages (not really--just seems like it because I have a ton of supplies and not a lot of pages to show for it due to time constraints).

I love simple pages, and I particularly love Paperkins on my pages.

I want to start scrapbooking. I went to a Creative Memories party last summer and bought some supplies. I didn't realize how expensive it was going to be. I also have a few problems with my journaling. I start to write and draw a blank because I want it to be perfect. I also would like to keep thing simple.

I started scrapping about 3 years ago and do it on and off. I would love to be able to do it more though. I also have bought lots of supplies but I only have my son's done through 7, he's nine, and I haven't even started on my one year olds book yet.
I really don't have a style, I try to go with the theme of the pictures.

Leta, check out places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels, or even Wal Mart. They have some really good prices on supplies. My friend once told me on journaling to remember your children will love whatever you write, it doesn't have to be perfect. That's stuck with me so I just write a few lines on my thoughts.

I am going to start scrapping soon. I got a ton of stuff for Christmas, but I need to get a few more things before I can start. I also need to develop LOTS of film. I am going to wait and start after we get back from vacation in a couple of weeks.

I am a 5 year scrappin veteran. My pages are cutsy stuff mostly as I do a lot of kids stuff. I have 2 completed scrapbooks one I am working on and 4 works in progress.(one for each child.)
I do wish I had more time for scrapbooking.

I tried doing this last year and either couldn't get the hang of it or didn't want to do it. I wouldn't even cut the paper because I was afraid I'd mess the entire thing up! LOL!!
I sold all my supplies on ebay for half of what I had in it.They lady thanked me for a GREAT DEAL!

I would love see pages that you all have done

I have been scrapping for about 7 months. I wanted to give my DH something memorable when he retired from the military last summer so I decided to do a scrapbook encompassing his whole career. It took about 2 or 3 months to finish but he loved it! It was a fun project Since then I've done 2 other scrapbooks and lots of cards

i am sort of new to scrapbooking, began about a year ago, invested in some magazine subscriptions (which i let expire ) most of my pages are simple in design, but i like some of the more elaborate ones i have seen. i have done some pages...but i maybe a bit backwards...i don;t have a book to put the pages into yet, lol. I have tons of supplies though and someday in my "free" time (2 kids ages 3 and 11 mos) i would like to sit down and do more.

I am a newbie when it comes to scrapbooking. I have some supplies, but every time I start I realize I need something else to finish the page. ! I am doing a book for each child and one for dh following his military career. Needless to say that one is a work in progress!

I don't really have a "style" yet. I do like stickers and paperkins. I have lots of ideas! Now just gotta get going!

    Just updating a bit...

I still have not started scrapping. I did buy two really neat scrapbook kits at Disney World. Each kit makes 8 pages, but I think I can find some complementary pieces at Hobby Lobby and streatch them a little farther than that. I bought my dd a princess set and the boys a Pooh set.

Now all I need to do is start. I've been a bit overwelmed with college starting last week, hopefully things will calm down a bit in a couple of weeks.

I've been scrapping officially since 1997.... however, have put pictures with stickers and pretty paper in those dreaded magnetic albums since I was a kid.

I've completed a few theme albums and have several albums in progress. I browse magazines and online scrap sites for ideas...

I don't usually get any daily scraptime... but will take a couple days and "speed scrap". I can usually get about 30-40 pages done in a weekend. My style of choice is simple scrapping. mostly straight line cuts on my pics and mats, use of punches and stickers. hand journalling or computer journalling. simple cut and paste. I may occasionally do a "fancy" page for an album to just jazz it up a bit, but not often.

Would love to hear how others do their scrapping.

I've been scrapbooking 15 years now, but I sure don't do anything fancy. I had a brief hiatus (okay 7 years!) and am back to it. In that time a phenomenal amount of stuff has come out for scrapbooking that I know absolutely nothing about. So I'm actually considering myself a beginner again. I have a lot of equipment and supplies (inherited), I just don't know what to do with it all!

I went to a CM party in 1999. I was hooked. I already took tons of pics and needed a creative outlet. I started with the plastic tubs for storage, then the CM bags, then a table in my bedroom and now I have a scrap room. I buy too much{on sale with a coupon of course}, and am so behind in cropping. My consultant quit, so now it's a matter of making time for myself to crop.
Right now, I'm 3 years behind and have HUNDREDS of pics in a CM storage box. I'm working on my personal album, an album of my recently lost mommy and am making copies of a family album for each of my 4 kids. Wooo, no wonder I'm behind...I plan too much to do!

I've been scrapping since my 1st creative memories party in 1997. in 2002ish, I became a creative memories consultant for a year or 2.

My style varies...sometimes deceptively simple other times I'll spend HOURS on 1 page.

Right now, I'm really into doing mini-albums. I'll have to post pics of my last two sometime soon.

My motto (which was beaten into my head by my 1st CM consultant) is BETTER DONE THAN PERFECT. If I tried to get every page perfect I'd never finish anything. Journalling is my big trouble area but now I use a lot of hidden journalling. (on tags that are tucked behind pics, etc.)

I actually start re-organizing my pics last night. I have 3 creative memories power sort boxes. 1 is full adn the other 2 are waiting for me to empty the 2 laundry baskets full of pics into them. I made a good start on it.
